Parking is complimentary and seamlessly connected to the mall’s system, which made arriving and leaving so hassle-free, especially for those driving. Kailaixi Hotel (Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower Tanhualin)

The room isn’t brand new, but it’s well-maintained and feels clean and comfortable. Space is adequate, and the layout is thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxed stay. What really stands out is the location in the old town area: walkable to local gems, great food spots, and the famous Yellow Crane Tower. Our host, Lele, was incredibly helpful—she warned us about parking issues near the tower and suggested we park at the hotel and walk over (just 10 minutes). Smart move! The rooftop restaurant on the 12th floor is a real highlight—the view of the Yellow Crane Tower is almost identical to what you’d get from the top, so honestly, we didn’t even feel like we needed to buy tickets. A fantastic experience overall, with excellent value and a warm, welcoming vibe. Would definitely return.

To my delight, I was able to check in right away upon arrival—no waiting, no hassle. I entered through the restaurant entrance, where a very friendly staff member warmly guided me to the front desk. Later, I noticed there’s actually another main entrance just ahead that bypasses the dining area—much more convenient if you're arriving with luggage. Because I arrived early, I got incredibly lucky: the front desk agent upgraded me to a 10th-floor room with a stunning view of the Yellow Crane Tower—absolutely worth every penny! At night, when the lights came on, the iconic red tower lit up against the silver silhouette of the surrounding buildings, creating a breathtaking scene right from my window. No need to go out for perfect photos—just open the curtains and snap away. Even better? The room came equipped with a projector that connected seamlessly to my phone—perfect for streaming videos from Bilibili. I spent the whole day after breakfast lounging in bed, curtains drawn, watching shows until 12:40 PM—pure bliss. And the breakfast? Absolutely outstanding. A hearty bowl of spicy beef noodle soup with big chunks of tender beef, fresh honeydew melon cut into generous slices, and two standout treats: a soft, fragrant date cake and an enormous, generously filled cream puff bursting with filling. Every bite was memorable. This place is seriously underrated. If you’re visiting Wuhan, especially during peak season, book this hotel—and specifically request a view of the Yellow Crane Tower. And let me tell you, the public transportation system in Wuhan is fantastic—seniors over 65 can ride the metro, buses, and even take the ferry to museums and scenic spots completely free of charge and without needing to book in advance.
