Langman Siji Holiday Hotel
This was my first time visiting Dalian, and I spent nearly two hours carefully researching hotels after reading countless travel warnings online. Despite one negative review, I did a quick reality check and decided to go with this place—glad I did! The hotel is located in Xigang District, just a 5-minute walk from Fujiashan Beach. From here, you can easily connect to nearby attractions like Yinsha Beach, the Sea-crossing Bridge, Jinsha Beach, and Xinghai Square. It’s also convenient for trips to the zoo or Lianhuashan Mountain—just a short taxi ride away, usually under $10 USD. Heading east takes you to Xiaogang and Lingjiao Bay, while downtown Zhongshan is only a moderate distance by car. The building is standalone, with its own floors—no shared structure with other properties—so it feels safe and private. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. When I had an issue during booking, I called the owner directly, and he responded instantly to sort everything out—awesome service! They even packed up some dumplings for me, and the front desk guy kindly stored them in the fridge and heated them up in the microwave—such a thoughtful touch. The front desk girl has striking features with a hint of exotic beauty—truly memorable! The hotel offers several great amenities: free parking right outside, shared laundry machines, and a drying area. There’s also a very cute cat who lounges around the entrance every evening—it’s part of the charm. One highlight is the local seafood restaurant recommended by the owner, literally just ten meters away. The food is affordable, generous in portion, and authentic Dalian-style. We ordered three to four dishes for four people, averaging $3–5 per person, and loved everything—especially the Three-Fillings Dumplings ($3.50), Bok Choy and Tofu Clam Soup ($2.50), and Steamed Pork with Noodles (Lumai, ~$3.50). We went back multiple times. The neighborhood itself is super convenient too—there’s a small local morning market, breakfast spots, fruit stands, BBQ stalls, a grocery store, and even a barber shop all within walking distance. In short, this place is perfect for travelers who want to relax, enjoy easy access to the beach, grab delicious local food, and do a little shopping—all without the hassle. A true home-away-from-home vibe.
