Breakfast included bagels and fresh fruit, and coffee and tea were available all day long—perfect for starting the morning right. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’d need for self-catering, which is great for saving money. I did notice some ambient noise from the speakers in the common area and footsteps upstairs at night, but it didn’t affect my sleep at all. Hot water was plentiful, and the Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable. Overall, this place offers incredible value for money—great for budget travelers who want comfort, convenience, and a social vibe without breaking the bank.

It's truly disappointing to see a property with heritage status allowed to deteriorate so badly. There are multiple holes in the roof, the yard and garden are completely neglected, and the surrounding area shows no signs of maintenance. Water pressure is weak, and the temperature control is inconsistent—during winter, the heating isn’t sufficient, making it necessary to wear a jacket just to stay warm. It’s clear the owners don’t care much about the property, let alone guest comfort. Yet they’re still happy to take your money. Avoid this place—your money would be better spent elsewhere. The condition is only going to get worse, and more complaints will follow. Eventually, the City of Vancouver may be forced to shut it down, which it absolutely should. This isn’t a proper B&B anymore—it’s a warning sign.

The staff are friendly and helpful, making the whole stay stress-free. If you're looking for a budget-friendly, central place to stay in Vancouver, this is definitely a top choice.

Whether you're exploring downtown or heading out on a day trip, this hostel offers both comfort and convenience at a fantastic value. Highly recommend for budget travelers and solo explorers alike.
