It’s also just a 20-minute walk to the University of Glasgow, and even easier if you take the subway—convenient for exploring the city. The location is peaceful yet well-connected, and being across from the BBC adds a bit of cultural charm. I’m already planning my next trip to Glasgow just so I can stay here again. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

Staying at this historic castle hotel was a dream come true—despite being assigned to a separate wing near the grassy courtyard instead of the main castle building, the experience was still outstanding. The room was huge, the bathroom spacious, and the bathtub perfect for soaking after a long day. Free parking was a big plus, especially if you're driving in. While I’d have loved to stay in the original castle rooms, the modern annex offered comfort and charm without compromise. The atmosphere, location, and attention to detail made it well worth it. Definitely planning to return.

Secc Hydro Executive 7 Apartment
I stayed here in June 2022 during a trip to Scotland, and unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The property is essentially a collection of apartments located in an aging building situated in a less desirable part of Glasgow. My unit didn’t match the photos shown on the platform at all—I brought this up, and was told the images were from other units. The windows wouldn’t close properly, letting in constant street noise from the busy road outside. Up close, the place looked dirty and clearly lacked proper maintenance. Overall, I regret choosing this accommodation and believe I could have found a better option for the price.

Staying here for just one night was absolutely perfect, especially given how close it is to the University of Glasgow. The location is unbeatable—walking distance to campus and surrounded by great cafes, restaurants, and shops. The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and staff are friendly and helpful.
