Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen
Staying at Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen was an absolute delight from start to finish. Located right in the heart of Shenzhen’s Shengye Upper City, the hotel is surrounded by two serene parks—perfect for a morning stroll or evening walk. The view from my 72nd-floor panoramic twin room was breathtaking, with lush greenery stretching across the skyline. The hotel itself exudes elegance and sophistication, with impeccable maintenance and attention to detail in every corner.
The staff went above and beyond—warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. From check-in to checkout, I felt like a valued guest. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully designed. The nightly turndown service added a lovely personal touch, making the stay even more special.
Lunch at the highly acclaimed Dongwan Restaurant was a highlight. Despite the premium reputation, the pricing felt fair, and the food quality was outstanding—especially the glass-roasted pigeon, which was crispy-skinned and incredibly flavorful. A must-try!
For dinner, I visited MO Bar, ranked among Asia’s 50 Best Bars. While walk-ins are welcome (private booths require booking), I arrived on a Sunday evening and only waited about 20 minutes—lucky timing! For those wanting to avoid queues, arriving after 11 PM seems to be a smarter move.
Breakfast at Sān Cān Bazaar on the lobby level offered decent variety, though it could have been more refined given the hotel’s luxury standard. It wasn’t bad—just not quite up to the exceptional level I expected.
Finally, the spa experience was relaxing and well-executed, offering a peaceful retreat after a busy day. Overall, this stay delivered on all fronts: location, comfort, service, dining, and ambiance. With a perfect 10/10 rating, it’s clear why this hotel stands out as one of Shenzhen’s finest luxury options.
