Breakfast was decent but nothing extraordinary—options were limited, and it got quite crowded during peak hours, particularly with several Indian tour groups visiting. That said, the location, comfort, and overall vibe make this a great choice for travelers who want to be right in the middle of the action without sacrificing quality. Highly recommended for those looking to explore Cape Town's vibrant city life.

I've stayed at this property multiple times within the same complex, and each visit has been fantastic. Located right on Breestraat 130, it's ideally positioned just steps away from a variety of great restaurants and only a 2.5 km walk to the waterfront—perfect for evening strolls or morning coffee by the sea. The neighborhood feels safe and welcoming, with a real local vibe. My studio was clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious for its size. The host was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout my stay—always quick to reply and helpful with any questions. Everything about the experience was seamless and enjoyable. I'd definitely return and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Our final evening in South Africa was absolutely perfect at Dixon House in de Waterkant. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the festive lights flickered to life, casting a warm glow over the vibrant outdoor seating area. The lively buzz of the surrounding streets blended seamlessly with the Mediterranean-inspired decor—colorful, inviting, and full of charm. The atmosphere was romantic yet effortlessly relaxed, making it an ideal spot to end our journey. The staff truly cared—attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about food quality and guest well-being. We started with the new burrata and local, in-season tomatoes—a standout dish that stole the show with its freshness and flavor. The curry, camembert, and bobotie were all exceptional, thoughtfully crafted and deeply satisfying. It’s rare to find a restaurant that balances taste, ambiance, and care so perfectly. This wasn’t just dinner—it was a memorable experience. If you’re visiting Cape Town, don’t miss this gem.
Flatrock Suites
Staying at Flatrock Suites was a major disappointment. The hotel is located directly above a nightclub, and the loud music and constant laughter kept going until 6 a.m., making it nearly impossible to sleep. I booked a two-bedroom suite, but only one room had air conditioning— the other had no fan at all, which made it extremely uncomfortable in the heat. To make matters worse, the DSTV service didn’t work, and despite reaching out to the property management team, I received zero support or assistance. There were also no curtains or blinds on the main bedroom door, so sunlight flooded into the room by 5 a.m., disrupting any chance of rest. Overall, the experience was poor, with multiple basic amenities failing and no effort from staff to resolve issues. Definitely not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
