The neighborhood feels safe and quiet, perfect for a peaceful stay. Walking distance to the train station makes commuting effortless—especially handy if you’re heading to Salem or exploring nearby areas. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, going out of her way to help with any request we had. A few minor quirks: the floors and doors creak quite a bit—expected in an older building, but we were mindful not to disturb neighbors below. The heating didn’t work properly during a few chilly nights, but we reported it right away, and the host confirmed HVAC would be checked after our departure. While air conditioning isn’t common in colder northern climates (and honestly, we wouldn’t expect it here), it did feel a bit snug on the coldest day. Still, that’s just part of the seasonal reality up north. Overall, this place offers a warm, welcoming vibe, great location, and excellent value.
