Palacio de Los Duques Gran Meliá

Staying at Palacio de Los Duques Gran Meliá in Madrid was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning—elegant, historic, and full of character. The staff went above and beyond with warm, attentive service that made us feel truly welcome. Breakfast was exceptional—fresh, delicious, and varied, with local touches that really stood out. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just a short walk to the Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol, and Retiro Park. Even better, there’s a car rental desk right in the underground garage at Plaza de España—grabbing our rental car took only about 500 meters of walking. Perfect for exploring beyond the city. We also enjoyed a relaxing swim at the rooftop pool, where we unexpectedly met a charming English-speaking guy who spoke Mandarin better than I do—such a fun moment! And the restaurant had a Chinese team member who was friendly, efficient, and made us feel at home. Honestly, if the price fits your budget, this place has absolutely nothing to complain about. A flawless experience—definitely coming back.

Hotel Regina

This was hands down the most impressive hotel of my entire trip. I stayed for two nights, and on the second day—coincidentally during National Day—the hotel upgraded me to a larger room at no extra cost, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The bathroom was spacious with two sinks, and the shower area was fully enclosed with glass—so much safer and more comfortable than the half-closed or bathtub-style setups I’ve seen elsewhere. Location-wise, it’s perfect: close to everything but surprisingly quiet at night, making it ideal for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding—so many options, including warm milk, fresh vegetables, and mushrooms! That last one really stood out—it’s not something you see every day. Also, they provided two 500ml bottles of water daily in the room, whereas other hotels usually only give one on the first day. Small details like this make a big difference. Overall, an excellent stay with fantastic value. I’d definitely come back.

Hotel Indigo Madrid - Gran Via

Staying at Hotel Indigo Madrid - Gran Via was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of central Madrid, making it easy to explore the city on foot or via public transit. Breakfast was a highlight: diverse options, excellent quality, and priced very reasonably. The rooftop bar offers stunning views of the city skyline—perfect for an evening drink with a view. The gym is well-maintained and equipped with modern facilities, ideal for staying active during your trip. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, genuine hospitality—always smiling, helpful, and attentive. Our room was thoughtfully designed with everything we needed: a mini-fridge, a safe, a brand-new kettle, and most importantly, an Illy coffee machine that made our mornings feel extra special. Honestly, it felt like home away from home, especially after staying at a more basic hotel in Devon, UK. If you're planning a visit to Madrid, this hotel should be at the top of your list. Highly recommend it!

Atocha Hotel Madrid, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

From the moment I arrived, this hotel delivered an amazing first impression. The room was spotlessly clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully equipped with a hairdryer and flat iron—small touches that made a big difference. Even though it’s rated four-star, it feels brand new and very modern, with a cozy, welcoming vibe. The location is unbeatable: right next to the Prado Museum, just a 2-kilometer walk from the Royal Palace, and only a 10-minute stroll to the train station. Everything is within easy reach—perfect for exploring Madrid on foot. Whether you're arriving by plane or planning your next adventure, this hotel makes your stay smooth and enjoyable. A fantastic choice for travelers who value comfort, convenience, and quality.

Inhala Hotel Garden

We stayed in a triple room at Inhala Hotel Garden, and while one of the beds was converted from a wardrobe—slightly unconventional—it still worked well for three people. The room is interior-facing and not very spacious, but it’s clean, functional, and perfectly comfortable for a short stay. What really stands out is the location—right next to Gran Vía, Madrid’s famous shopping hub. You’re steps away from boutiques, restaurants, and lively streets. Plus, the Saino Domingo metro station is literally outside the door, giving easy access to Line 2 and the rest of the city. Whether you're here for sightseeing or shopping, this hotel offers excellent value and convenience. For a central, budget-friendly base with great transit links, I’d definitely recommend it.

Check-in was incredibly smooth thanks to the smart, tech-driven system—no stress at all. Even when I forgot my key card late at night, the machine automatically issued a replacement, which was such a relief. Since we were traveling with kids, having a kitchen was a game-changer: we could cook meals and do laundry on-site, which made our extended stay so much more comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed—pots, pans, cutlery, you name it—so the kids could even make their own noodles, which they loved. The room itself is spacious and well-designed, with two bathrooms and a lovely balcony that offered great views of the city. It’s rare to find such a practical yet stylish apartment in Madrid, especially with this level of convenience and comfort. Highly recommend for families or travelers who want independence and home-like ease.

Carretas Attics Apartments

Staying at Carretas Attics Apartments was an absolute delight. Located right in the heart of Madrid, it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the city—just steps away from supermarkets, cozy cafés, and a variety of restaurants. The host Jorge went above and beyond; even though check-in wasn’t until 4 PM, he messaged to let us know our apartment was ready by 1:30 PM. After an early flight, being able to drop off our bags and settle in earlier was such a relief. The location is unbeatable, and the apartment itself is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It’s a fantastic choice for travelers looking for convenience, charm, and great value—all in one.

Rincón de Gran Vía

Staying at Rincón de Gran Vía was an absolute delight. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—always smiling, offering local tips, and making sure everything was perfect for our stay. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just a short walk to Madrid’s main attractions like Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, and the Prado Museum. Public transport is super convenient too—just a few minutes on the metro to get anywhere in the city center. Plus, there are great cafes, restaurants, and small shops right outside the door. It’s a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and charm. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting Madrid—it’s a real hidden treasure.

CC Opera Suites

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from all the main attractions in Madrid, yet quiet and safe enough to sleep well at night. Upon entering, there’s a small elevator that can help carry your luggage down to the ground floor, but you’ll still need to climb up those narrow, honeycomb-like internal stairs to reach your room—so be prepared if you’re carrying heavy bags. The price is on the higher side, but if I ever return to Madrid, I’d definitely book here again. One thing that caught me off guard was breakfast: no option was listed during booking, and the instructions just said 'available upon request.' When I arrived, I was told it wasn’t included unless booked separately—I assumed it came with the rate. That said, if it were clearly marked as non-inclusive, the price would be more understandable. Considering how expensive Madrid gets during peak season, the convenience, cleanliness, and unbeatable location make this a solid choice. Definitely worth it for travelers who value being centrally located without sacrificing comfort.

Quatro Puerta del Sol

Staying at Quatro Puerta del Sol in Madrid was an absolute highlight of my trip. Located just steps from the iconic Puerta del Sol square, the hotel puts you right in the heart of the city’s vibrant energy. Public transportation is super convenient—just a short walk to metro stations and major attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed with modern touches like a mini-fridge, climate control, and plenty of outlets. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the comfy bed to the well-lit workspace. At 1,200 RMB per night including breakfast, it's excellent value for money. The breakfast spread was generous—fresh pastries, local cheeses, juices, and coffee that made mornings feel special. Whether you're exploring Madrid’s museums, shopping on Gran Vía, or just soaking in the atmosphere, this hotel offers the perfect base. Highly recommend for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and great quality without breaking the bank.

Das León

This place truly exceeded my expectations! The entire property was immaculately clean—every corner, every surface—it felt like a fresh start the moment I walked in. The rooms were so quiet that you could hear your own thoughts, making it perfect for a restful night’s sleep. What really stood out was the warm and attentive service. Way, the host, and the Brazilian cleaning staff were incredibly friendly and helpful without being intrusive. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Located just steps from public transit, I was in the heart of Madrid within minutes. It's rare to find such a cozy, well-run hostel with such a personal touch. I’d absolutely recommend this gem to any traveler looking for comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality. Will definitely be back!
