The staff experience was mixed: one day the front desk was warm and professional, the next felt rushed and unfriendly. A bit inconsistent, but overall service remains decent. What truly stood out was the shower—powerful water pressure, excellent flow, and a refreshing experience every time. Breakfast was solid too, with a highlight being the fresh pastries, especially the egg tarts that were flaky and sweet. For travelers who value good showers, a reliable breakfast, and a quiet stay, this place offers strong value despite its slightly less ideal location.

Martinhal Lisbon Oriente

Absolutely loved this stay! The hotel is just a 10-minute Uber ride from the airport and only a 10 to 15-minute walk from Oriente Station—perfect for easy access. There’s a large supermarket nearby, so grocery shopping and cooking your own meals is super convenient. The property features both indoor and outdoor pools, and on arrival, we were greeted with delicious mini macarons and homemade muesli from a cheerful staff member who smiled throughout. The apartment-style rooms are well-equipped with a toaster, capsule coffee machine, washing machine, and even cookware including a stovetop (induction or halogen—I’m not sure which). We picked up some groceries and cooked simple meals, which was such a nice change from eating out every night. Breakfast was similar in variety to other hotels we’ve stayed at, but it was tasty and satisfying. This trip with my husband was a long-distance getaway, and choosing this hotel was one of the best decisions we made. With its excellent service, thoughtful touches, and great value, I’d definitely book again—no matter where this brand is located.

Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade

We stayed in the largest suite and were really impressed by the two full bathrooms with showers—super convenient, especially for a group or family. We spent five nights here, and housekeeping was excellent every day; the room was always clean and fresh. Breakfast was decent—above average, but not quite on par with the Sofitel in Paris, which we’ve experienced before. That said, prices are much more reasonable here, and considering the cost difference, it’s actually a great value. The Paris location truly is premium-priced, so this Lisbon property holds its own well. Outside the hotel, there’s a highly-rated Asian restaurant just across the street—great food, authentic flavors, and a lovely atmosphere. We stopped by for dinner after exploring the city and loved it. Overall, this stay was fantastic. The location is central, the staff friendly, and the rooms spacious and well-designed. I’d definitely come back to Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade on my next visit to Lisbon.
