Our first stop in Italy was Milan, and staying at Crowne Plaza Milan City was an absolute highlight. The airport bus costs just €10 and drops you right at the central station—just a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Even before check-in time, we were able to store our luggage. Right outside the front door is the Yellow M3 metro line, which takes only six stops to reach the Duomo—perfect for sightseeing and shopping. When we returned in the afternoon, our bags were already in the room, which saved us so much hassle. The pull-out sofa for the kids was surprisingly comfortable, and the room itself was spotless, well-equipped, and spacious enough for three adults without feeling cramped. The complimentary bottled water comes in small boxes with only three bottles per day—nothing wrong with that, but if you’re looking for better quality, pick up something slightly more expensive from the nearby supermarket; cheaper brands tend to be just filtered tap water and leave noticeable scale when boiled. But the real star? The breakfast. Hands down one of the best we’ve had anywhere—especially the hot stir-fried vegetables, which felt like a breath of fresh air for someone with a Chinese palate. It’s now our benchmark when comparing future hotels.

We stayed at the hotel with our family of three and booked a triple room on the 8th floor—huge space with two small balconies, which was perfect for relaxing in the morning. The bathroom features a clean separation between wet and dry areas, which is a nice touch. While the interior design shows some age, it’s still a well-established four-star property with solid quality. Breakfast was excellent—especially the freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice, absolutely delicious. Location-wise, it’s incredibly convenient: just a 100-meter walk from Turro Metro Station (Line M1), and right next to a supermarket—only about 60 meters from the front door. That said, the store closes early, around 7:30 PM, which might be due to New Year’s Eve timing. Otherwise, we’d definitely recommend this hotel for families. Great value, great location, and a comfortable stay overall.
