Our first stop in Italy was Milan, and staying at Crowne Plaza Milan City was an absolute highlight. The airport bus costs just €10 and drops you right at the central station—just a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Even before check-in time, we were able to store our luggage. Right outside the front door is the Yellow M3 metro line, which takes only six stops to reach the Duomo—perfect for sightseeing and shopping. When we returned in the afternoon, our bags were already in the room, which saved us so much hassle. The pull-out sofa for the kids was surprisingly comfortable, and the room itself was spotless, well-equipped, and spacious enough for three adults without feeling cramped. The complimentary bottled water comes in small boxes with only three bottles per day—nothing wrong with that, but if you’re looking for better quality, pick up something slightly more expensive from the nearby supermarket; cheaper brands tend to be just filtered tap water and leave noticeable scale when boiled. But the real star? The breakfast. Hands down one of the best we’ve had anywhere—especially the hot stir-fried vegetables, which felt like a breath of fresh air for someone with a Chinese palate. It’s now our benchmark when comparing future hotels.

The quality and variety were impressive for the price—truly unbeatable value. The room is only 15 square meters, but thanks to smart design, it feels spacious and stylish, with USB ports on both bedside tables—a small detail that made a big difference. Location-wise? Perfect. Right outside Milan Central Station’s main entrance, just a short walk away—getting to trains or metro lines is effortless. Turn the corner and you’re in a lively food alley with affordable options, including a few Michelin-recognized restaurants and the famous Milan gelato spot—all within walking distance. There’s also a Man's supermarket nearby, so everything you need is close at hand. Despite all this convenience, the street below the hotel is surprisingly quiet, making for a peaceful night’s sleep. The bedding was comfortable, and extra toiletries like toothbrush and toothpaste were readily available upon request. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Milan—it’s practical, well-located, and delivers real comfort without breaking the bank.

The fully equipped kitchen included an oven, stovetop, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, plus a washer—so convenient for self-catering. The bathroom was generously sized with a sleek Italian-style shower. Best of all, it’s perfectly located: just a 2-minute walk to the tram and 3 minutes from the metro. Key attractions across the city are within a 30-minute ride—making it ideal for both first-time visitors and seasoned travelers.
