The hotel is perfectly located—super convenient for getting around Rio, with great access to public transit. The only minor downside is a bar/restaurant right across the street, but they stop making noise by 10:30 PM, so it’s not an issue at all. The staff are incredibly professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast is varied and satisfying—plenty of options and really good quality. I’d definitely stay here again. Panorama Inn
We stayed two nights at Panorama Inn and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Artur and his wife were incredibly warm and welcoming, going out of their way to help us with Uber arrangements and answering all our questions about the area. Even after checking out and staying at another hotel for the rest of our trip, we still reached out to Artur whenever we needed advice or local tips—his kindness and helpfulness truly stood out. The inn is located in the charming neighborhood of Santa Teresa, just a short walk from downtown Rio. We walked to Centro each morning in about 20 minutes, and it was only a 5-minute stroll to Sambodromo—perfect for catching the night parade. The rooms were spotless, secure, and very comfortable. What impressed us most was the level of care and availability; Artur seemed to be around almost 24/7, always ready to assist. This place isn’t just a hotel—it feels like staying at a friend’s home. If we ever return to Rio, this will be our first choice. Highly recommended! ❤️

The hostel has a spacious and welcoming vibe with plenty of room to relax and socialize. The double room was nicely decorated and made for a comfortable stay. However, I'm disappointed with the lack of communication and refund after canceling my booking—despite promises, I waited over three months with no response or resolution. It's also worth noting that safety concerns mean you’ll need to rely on Uber to get around at night, which adds extra cost and inconvenience. While the location and atmosphere are decent, poor customer service significantly impacts the overall experience.

Everything you need is within walking distance—groceries, a pharmacy, train station, and local eateries. I loved how safe and vibrant the area felt. Breakfast was simple but delicious—fresh fruit, bread, coffee, and juice that made mornings so enjoyable. This place offers amazing value for money and a true local vibe. I’d highly recommend it to any traveler looking for comfort, convenience, and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

I booked this place through a platform expecting a basic, budget-friendly option to rest for a few hours before my connecting flight. It’s not really a tourist accommodation—it serves another purpose entirely. The room is extremely small, barely 2m x 3m—about the size of a standard bathroom—and with a ceiling height of only around 2 meters, it felt claustrophobic. There are two outlets in the room—one at the fan and one at the TV—but since the fan must stay on (due to strong cigarette smell), I had to charge my phone from the TV outlet. The back of the closet was piled with trash—paper, dust, cigarette ash—very unsanitary. The tiny window faces the hallway with no natural ventilation, so noise from other rooms and hallways seeps through easily. The shared bathroom lacked soap, hand towels, and even a sink—just a basin outside where you can wash your hands. The mattress looked old and worn, with a waterproof cover that was cracked and peeling. The overall space feels like someone repurposed a floor into two levels with poor construction standards. Ceiling height violates local regulations (minimum 2.7m required), and I highly doubt they have a valid operating permit. Safety measures, fire prevention, and hygiene don’t meet basic legal requirements. Honestly, this isn’t suitable for travelers—only an absolute last resort.

Absolutely breathtaking—Rio spreads out before you like a postcard. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s an experience. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for authenticity, comfort, and heartwarming moments.
Andorinha Hotel (Adults Only)
My stay at Andorinha Hotel (Adults Only) was extremely disappointing. I requested breakfast for 10 a.m., but the front desk staff couldn’t even process such a simple request—no follow-up, no communication, just silence. It’s a clear sign of poor training and lack of supervision. To make matters worse, the housekeeping staff acted with outright rudeness, even taking it upon themselves to 'handle complaints' like an unofficial ombudsman. That kind of attitude is not just unprofessional—it’s disrespectful. The hotel’s quiet, private atmosphere might appeal to some, but without basic service standards, it feels more like neglect than exclusivity. For a place marketed as adults-only, the experience felt anything but mature or welcoming. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, there are far better options that actually deliver on service.
