Check-in was a bit delayed—expected at 12:30, but they only confirmed room readiness around 1:20 PM. Still, the experience overall was positive. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, directly connected to the airport, making transfers and early flights super convenient. That said, the front desk is tucked away at the back of the lobby, so you’ll need to walk a bit through the spacious corridors. The rooms and hallways had a faint cleaning smell—likely from recent sanitization—but nothing overwhelming. The rooftop view is definitely worth it, especially P1 and P2 areas. It gets busy, but the panoramic sight of the airport and city skyline, especially during sunset, is spectacular. Perfect for a quick break or just soaking in the atmosphere. Overall, great value, excellent access, and a solid choice if you're flying in or out of Rio.

The Arosa Rio Hotel is an outstanding choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience in Rio de Janeiro. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their friendly and attentive service. The hotel is perfectly located just steps away from a variety of restaurants, shops, and local attractions—ideal for exploring the city without needing to travel far. Everything inside the property is well-organized, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It's clear that attention to detail goes into every aspect of the guest experience. With such a great location, excellent service, and a peaceful atmosphere, this hotel truly delivers exceptional value. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rio—it’s definitely a top pick.

Villa 25 completely surpassed my expectations! The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and varied every morning. The pool area is serene and beautifully designed, like a hidden oasis. Best of all, it’s just a short walk from the beach, making exploration effortless. With its unbeatable location, comfort, and genuine hospitality, this place offers incredible value. I can’t recommend it enough—I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I’m just as impressed as the first. The room is spacious and incredibly comfortable, especially the suite with the bathtub—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The breakfast was delicious again, with fresh and flavorful options that made mornings enjoyable. The location is great, with easy access to public transit and nearby attractions. It’s a fantastic value for the quality and service. I’ll definitely be back.

The hotel offers a solid experience overall, especially considering its prime location. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, making check-in and daily interactions pleasant. While some of the facilities show signs of aging—like slightly worn mirrors in the bathroom and faded paint in certain areas—the rooms remain clean and functional. The value for money is excellent, and being just steps away from public transit makes exploring Rio easy. It’s not a luxury stay, but for travelers who prioritize convenience and a welcoming atmosphere over brand-new finishes, this place is a great pick.

Our family stay at Casa 48 was absolutely unforgettable. The warm and welcoming hospitality from Valentin and Félix made us feel right at home. We even celebrated New Year’s Eve together with the hosts in a truly unique and cozy atmosphere—so much charm and genuine connection. The location is perfect for exploring Rio, especially starting from Santa Teresa. You can walk or hop on a quick metro ride to reach various neighborhoods. And the view? Absolutely breathtaking—Rio spreads out before you like a postcard. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s an experience. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for authenticity, comfort, and heartwarming moments.

I stayed at Maracanã Hostel Vila Isabel and was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience! The location is one of the biggest highlights—just a short walk from the iconic Maracanã Stadium, making it perfect for concertgoers or football fans. The metro station is literally right around the corner, which made getting around Rio super easy. What really stood out was the incredible value for money—prices are way more affordable compared to other options in the city. I was pleasantly surprised by the bathrooms too—they’re recently renovated, spotless, and well-maintained, showing real attention to cleanliness and upkeep. It’s clear this place cares about guest comfort. Highly recommend this hostel for budget travelers or anyone attending events at Maracanã. A great base with charm and convenience!

I booked this place through a platform expecting a basic, budget-friendly option to rest for a few hours before my connecting flight. It’s not really a tourist accommodation—it serves another purpose entirely. The room is extremely small, barely 2m x 3m—about the size of a standard bathroom—and with a ceiling height of only around 2 meters, it felt claustrophobic. There are two outlets in the room—one at the fan and one at the TV—but since the fan must stay on (due to strong cigarette smell), I had to charge my phone from the TV outlet. The back of the closet was piled with trash—paper, dust, cigarette ash—very unsanitary. The tiny window faces the hallway with no natural ventilation, so noise from other rooms and hallways seeps through easily. The shared bathroom lacked soap, hand towels, and even a sink—just a basin outside where you can wash your hands. The mattress looked old and worn, with a waterproof cover that was cracked and peeling. The overall space feels like someone repurposed a floor into two levels with poor construction standards. Ceiling height violates local regulations (minimum 2.7m required), and I highly doubt they have a valid operating permit. Safety measures, fire prevention, and hygiene don’t meet basic legal requirements. Honestly, this isn’t suitable for travelers—only an absolute last resort.

My stay at Andorinha Hotel (Adults Only) was extremely disappointing. I requested breakfast for 10 a.m., but the front desk staff couldn’t even process such a simple request—no follow-up, no communication, just silence. It’s a clear sign of poor training and lack of supervision. To make matters worse, the housekeeping staff acted with outright rudeness, even taking it upon themselves to 'handle complaints' like an unofficial ombudsman. That kind of attitude is not just unprofessional—it’s disrespectful. The hotel’s quiet, private atmosphere might appeal to some, but without basic service standards, it feels more like neglect than exclusivity. For a place marketed as adults-only, the experience felt anything but mature or welcoming. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, there are far better options that actually deliver on service.

This place is the perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. I'm a local, and after weeks of nonstop routine, I just needed to disconnect—and this stay delivered exactly that. The historic mansion is full of charming details and cultural touches, yet it seamlessly blends with modern comforts. The room is spacious, airy, and impeccably equipped—everything worked flawlessly. The linens were soft, fresh, and smelled wonderful. Breakfast was exceptional: delicious, varied, and thoughtfully prepared. I left feeling completely recharged. I’ll definitely be back—this time with my whole family. A truly unforgettable experience.

Staying at Bella Ciao Hostel in Rio de Janeiro was one of the most memorable experiences I've had on my trip. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the metro and super close to everything worth seeing. The hostel offers incredible value for money, with clean, cozy rooms and a welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The common lounge is perfect for working during the day or hanging out in the evening with board games, movies, and great conversations. The staff and regular guests are genuinely warm and friendly—they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time in the neighborhood and the city. Special shoutout to Saulo, the owner—he’s incredibly kind, always available, and truly cares about everyone’s well-being. It’s clear he runs this place with heart. I left feeling like I’d made new friends and discovered a hidden gem. Definitely coming back, and I’ll be bringing my travel buddies next time.

Staying at Villa Teresa was an absolute delight from the moment I arrived. The views of Santa Teresa, the Sambódromo, and the seaside promenade are simply breathtaking—especially during Carnival when the energy is electric. The property feels warm and welcoming, like a home away from home. I requested a firmer mattress (though it was just a single bed), and it made for a comfortable night’s sleep. The amenities are impressive: a cozy living room, a fun games area, spacious balconies with panoramic views, and a refreshing pool. My favorite spot? The balcony overlooking the Sambódromo—perfect for watching the parade with binoculars in hand, almost like having your own private box seat. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. One minor note: one window felt a bit exposed to passersby, so privacy could be improved slightly. Also, while the interior shines, the exterior grounds could benefit from more consistent cleaning and organization. Breakfast was hearty and delicious—plenty of options, fresh and well-prepared. Parking right in front of the hotel on a quiet one-way street was stress-free and safe. Overall, this place offers exceptional value and charm. It’s not just a stay—it’s an experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy Rio’s magic in a peaceful, scenic setting.
