Absolutely loved it! The hotel is perfectly located in Santa Teresa, just a short walk from everything we wanted to explore. Dacia was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home right away. The room was stunning—filled with vibrant, colorful paintings that gave the space such a unique artistic vibe. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with homemade jams, bread, and juice that tasted amazing. The rooftop view was breathtaking—perfect for sunset drinks or just relaxing with a book. The small pool was a lovely surprise, ideal for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. We especially enjoyed strolling through the neighborhood and grabbing dinner at a cozy little restaurant nearby. Walking into downtown Rio was easy and safe. This place has a special charm—warm, authentic, and full of character. I’d return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Even though it was cloudy during my visit, the view from the property was still stunning and didn’t disappoint at all. The hostel has a spacious and welcoming vibe with plenty of room to relax and socialize. The double room was nicely decorated and made for a comfortable stay. However, I'm disappointed with the lack of communication and refund after canceling my booking—despite promises, I waited over three months with no response or resolution. It's also worth noting that safety concerns mean you’ll need to rely on Uber to get around at night, which adds extra cost and inconvenience. While the location and atmosphere are decent, poor customer service significantly impacts the overall experience.

Breakfast was just average—not bad, but nothing special. That said, the stairs are a real workout, so you’ll definitely stay active during your visit! Overall, the hostel is clean, welcoming, and offers excellent value for money. If you’re looking for a relaxed yet social atmosphere in Rio, this is a top choice.

One major plus: being able to use the common areas even after check-out was such a thoughtful touch, especially when traveling with late arrivals or tight connections. It saved us from having to rush back or find another place to wait. Location-wise, it’s convenient for getting around Rio, and the overall vibe is warm and social without being overwhelming. Highly recommend this gem if you’re looking for comfort, cleanliness, and great hospitality in a relaxed setting.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect—just a short walk to Maracanã Stadium, making it super convenient for fans and travelers alike. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and despite a brief power outage caused by an external issue, the owner was incredibly kind and offered us extra time after check-out without hesitation. The farewell was sweet too—the hostel’s mascot Maya even came to say goodbye, which added such a personal touch. It’s rare to find a place with both great location and genuine hospitality. I booked this place through a platform expecting a basic, budget-friendly option to rest for a few hours before my connecting flight. It’s not really a tourist accommodation—it serves another purpose entirely. The room is extremely small, barely 2m x 3m—about the size of a standard bathroom—and with a ceiling height of only around 2 meters, it felt claustrophobic. There are two outlets in the room—one at the fan and one at the TV—but since the fan must stay on (due to strong cigarette smell), I had to charge my phone from the TV outlet. The back of the closet was piled with trash—paper, dust, cigarette ash—very unsanitary. The tiny window faces the hallway with no natural ventilation, so noise from other rooms and hallways seeps through easily. The shared bathroom lacked soap, hand towels, and even a sink—just a basin outside where you can wash your hands. The mattress looked old and worn, with a waterproof cover that was cracked and peeling. The overall space feels like someone repurposed a floor into two levels with poor construction standards. Ceiling height violates local regulations (minimum 2.7m required), and I highly doubt they have a valid operating permit. Safety measures, fire prevention, and hygiene don’t meet basic legal requirements. Honestly, this isn’t suitable for travelers—only an absolute last resort.

We even celebrated New Year’s Eve together with the hosts in a truly unique and cozy atmosphere—so much charm and genuine connection. The location is perfect for exploring Rio, especially starting from Santa Teresa. You can walk or hop on a quick metro ride to reach various neighborhoods. And the view? Absolutely breathtaking—Rio spreads out before you like a postcard. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s an experience. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for authenticity, comfort, and heartwarming moments.

My stay at Andorinha Hotel (Adults Only) was extremely disappointing. I requested breakfast for 10 a.m., but the front desk staff couldn’t even process such a simple request—no follow-up, no communication, just silence. It’s a clear sign of poor training and lack of supervision. To make matters worse, the housekeeping staff acted with outright rudeness, even taking it upon themselves to 'handle complaints' like an unofficial ombudsman. That kind of attitude is not just unprofessional—it’s disrespectful. The hotel’s quiet, private atmosphere might appeal to some, but without basic service standards, it feels more like neglect than exclusivity. For a place marketed as adults-only, the experience felt anything but mature or welcoming. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, there are far better options that actually deliver on service.

This place is the perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. I'm a local, and after weeks of nonstop routine, I just needed to disconnect—and this stay delivered exactly that. The historic mansion is full of charming details and cultural touches, yet it seamlessly blends with modern comforts. The room is spacious, airy, and impeccably equipped—everything worked flawlessly. The linens were soft, fresh, and smelled wonderful. Breakfast was exceptional: delicious, varied, and thoughtfully prepared. I left feeling completely recharged. I’ll definitely be back—this time with my whole family. A truly unforgettable experience.
