My stay at Mid City Inn completely exceeded my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short subway ride into downtown LA, and everything I saw in the photos was exactly what I experienced in person. The room was spotless and well-organized, and despite being on a busy street, there was zero noise intrusion—perfect for a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, respectful, and helpful without being pushy. It’s rare to find such a clean, comfortable, and well-managed place at this price point. The photos are completely accurate—no surprises, no disappointments. I’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Los Angeles.
Fairmont Century Plaza Los Angeles at Beverly Hills
Absolutely loved this hotel—already thinking about my next visit! Right across from a vibrant shopping mall, it's super convenient and feels safe for walking around. Dining options are fantastic: I enjoyed both Sichuan hot pot at Haidilao and the authentic xiaolongbao at Din Tai Fung, plus there’s an excellent variety of Western cuisine too. The breakfast was outstanding—plenty of delicious choices without any waste. The room was immaculately clean, spacious, and well-appointed. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay. It’s rare to find such a high level of comfort, convenience, and quality all in one place. Definitely a top pick for anyone visiting LA—I’ll be back!
Park Cienega Motel
I booked this motel based on a high rating I saw on the platform, but honestly, it was extremely misleading. We couldn’t sleep at all during our stay—the fridge kicked on and off every 10 minutes, the tap kept dripping, and the traffic noise from the nearby road was relentless. The worst part? The walls were so thin we could hear absolutely everything from the couple next door—every word, even their pet names. It was incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing. When we complained to management, they said they’d contacted the neighbors, who stopped briefly for about 10 minutes before resuming. They claimed they could only fix the fridge and tap the following week. We asked for a refund, but were denied outright. The staff offered zero empathy or real solutions. This place is poorly managed, and the overall experience was awful. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, not even as a last resort.

My stay at Starlight Inn la Brea was disappointing, especially when it comes to cleanliness. The room didn’t meet basic hygiene standards—there were visible strands of hair all over the bed, which made me feel uneasy. Even the towels weren’t properly clean or dry; they felt damp and somewhat grimy, which is a big red flag for any traveler looking for a comfortable, hygienic place to rest. While the location is convenient for getting around Los Angeles—close to public transit and local attractions—the overall condition of the rooms really let down the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this property if you value cleanliness and comfort. It’s hard to justify the price point when such fundamental aspects are overlooked. For budget travelers who don’t mind some compromises, it might still be an option, but for those with higher expectations, there are definitely better choices available.
King's Lodge Motel
This place really should be renamed the Joker—definitely not fit for a king. The property feels run-down and outdated, with tiny rooms that haven’t seen any updates in years. The sheets were stained, and the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. At night, you can hear loud banging from the pipes, and there’s a persistent foul odor coming from outside. The photos online are misleading—the ad shows three cars neatly parked, but the actual lot is dirty and overcrowded. I’d advise staying away. It’s not worth the price, and the overall experience is far below expectations.
Relax Inn
I’m back at Relax Inn again, and I can’t help but say how impressed I am once more. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to downtown LA, with great access to public transit and tons of dining options nearby. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, making for a restful night’s sleep. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. It’s rare to find such a great balance between affordability and quality. If you’re visiting Los Angeles, this is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to. Highly recommended!
Seaway Motel
The check-in process was smooth, parking was convenient, and the in-room safe was a nice touch for storing valuables. The only thing I noticed was that the bedspread hadn’t been changed—there were still visible signs of the previous guest’s use, which was a bit off-putting.
