The Old Town is huge, so I’d definitely recommend checking the map beforehand to plan your sightseeing route. We specifically picked this property because of its stunning views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and its location on Shizi Mountain. After booking, we reached out to the host with questions about airport transfers and other details—he responded promptly and was incredibly helpful throughout. The guesthouse spans four floors, offering spacious rooms without feeling crowded. There’s a shared rooftop terrace on the third floor perfect for relaxing with tea or coffee, while the fourth floor features a Japanese-style design that’s effortlessly photogenic—every corner feels like a scene from a travel magazine. We stayed in two different room types—one on the third floor with a private balcony, ideal for afternoon lounging, and another on the fourth floor with tatami mats and a low tea table, perfect for sipping tea while gazing at the distant mountains. Each room offers unobstructed views of the snow-capped peaks and the glowing night skyline of the old town. The bathrooms are large, spotlessly clean, and feature unique local touches in the shower setup. The air conditioning and humidifier work perfectly—quiet, effective, and sleep-friendly. Breakfast each morning was simple but memorable: either Yunnan rice noodles or congee with a side of sweet potato. I had the plain congee with sweet potato for several days straight—it was surprisingly delicious. The host mentioned they soak the rice overnight, and what impressed me most was how they actively check in with guests about their preferences for side dishes and adjust accordingly. That kind of attention to detail speaks volumes about their genuine care. From safety and convenience to service quality and overall vibe, this place is absolutely worth returning to—maybe even more than once. The rooftop café offers a direct view of the snow-capped mountain, and on clear days, you can witness the breathtaking sunrise painting the peaks in golden light—truly unforgettable. The owner went above and beyond: they arranged a late-night airport pickup, even turned on the heating before we arrived, and had fresh fruit and drinks waiting in the room. The complimentary afternoon tea on the rooftop was a delightful surprise—sipping tea while gazing at the majestic mountains made for a perfect moment of stillness. It’s incredibly well-located, just a short walk to Lijiang Ancient Town. Plus, the fourth-floor laundry area is thoughtfully designed with plenty of cute succulents adding charm to the space. This stay has become one of my most cherished memories from Lijiang—over 70% of my favorite moments were right here. I couldn’t recommend it more.

The breakfast was fantastic, especially the rice noodles—fresh, flavorful, and just right. When checking out, the host surprised us with a generous selection of fruits and local snacks. It felt like leaving a home away from home. This place truly offers an exceptional experience with such thoughtful touches. I’d definitely come back.

The room was spotless, with both underfloor heating and air conditioning, plus all amenities you’d want. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout made it ideal for families. The ground-floor room has a cozy little courtyard, while the second-floor room features a private balcony with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains—plus, the rooftop terrace offers even better vantage points. Breakfast was delicious and abundant, and they even serve afternoon tea and warm goji berry soup in the evening—such a thoughtful touch. Every staff member was friendly and attentive. This is hands down one of the best homestays I’ve ever experienced. Comfortable, well-located, and full of charm—definitely coming back!
