The room’s soundproofing is excellent—completely quiet and peaceful, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. At night, I’d just sit outside, enjoy the gentle breeze, and gaze at the stars—so calming and magical. Special thanks to front desk staff Kathy, who was incredibly helpful and warm throughout our stay. Her attention to detail made all the difference. This place offers such a unique blend of comfort, tranquility, and authenticity. A must-visit if you're in Lijiang.

Staying at Banyan Tree Lijiang was an absolutely wonderful experience. The service throughout the property was outstanding, especially our personal host Elina—always helpful, responsive, and genuinely attentive. We arrived earlier than check-in time, and thanks to the platform’s assistance, we were able to get into our room ahead of schedule, which made a big difference. As soon as we stepped into the room during winter, it was already warmly heated—such a pleasant surprise. The room itself was spotless, beautifully designed with local charm, and came fully equipped with high-quality amenities. The dining experience truly stood out—the food was exceptional. I highly recommend the spicy chicken, black tofu, and shredded cabbage; each dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The view of Jade Mountain bathed in sunlight is breathtaking, and the ducks and geese around the pond are adorable—perfect for photos. The tennis court is easily bookable, and rackets and balls are available for rent. One small note: the latte art at the café wasn’t quite ready by 10 a.m., but that’s a minor detail. Overall, this stay exceeded expectations—serene, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed. A perfect retreat in Lijiang, and definitely worth returning.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—especially Rita, the on-duty manager, who gave us great recommendations for authentic restaurants in nearby Shuhe Ancient Town. Breakfast was a highlight: seated with panoramic views of the mountains, the buffet offered a wide variety of fresh options, including freshly made egg waffles that were absolutely delicious. Complimentary coffee or tea was available throughout the meal, and they even served a warm pear soup afterward—such a thoughtful touch. Shuttle service via electric cart made getting around the property super convenient. Every detail felt well thought out. This experience truly deserves a perfect score. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, charm, and genuine hospitality in Lijiang.

The breakfast was fantastic, especially the rice noodles—fresh, flavorful, and just right. When checking out, the host surprised us with a generous selection of fruits and local snacks. Absolutely recommend this gem of a stay! The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, just a 2-minute walk from the north gate of Shuhe Ancient Town—perfect location. The room was spotless, with both underfloor heating and air conditioning, plus all amenities you’d want. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout made it ideal for families. The ground-floor room has a cozy little courtyard, while the second-floor room features a private balcony with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains—plus, the rooftop terrace offers even better vantage points. Breakfast was delicious and abundant, and they even serve afternoon tea and warm goji berry soup in the evening—such a thoughtful touch. Every staff member was friendly and attentive. This is hands down one of the best homestays I’ve ever experienced. Comfortable, well-located, and full of charm—definitely coming back!
