There are two Chinese restaurants within walking distance—great for a taste of home. We also enjoyed strolling along the Tiber River toward Castel Sant’Angelo, and while Vatican City is a bit of a walk (about 30–40 minutes), it’s totally doable for those who love exploring on foot. The location is perfect—right below a fantastic Italian coffee shop with authentic local charm, nestled in a real Roman neighborhood. The Tram 8 stops right at the corner, making it super easy to reach the city center in just minutes. Being in Trastevere means you’re surrounded by charming little alleys, cozy restaurants, and hidden gems everywhere. It’s such a vibrant, authentic part of Rome—great for exploring on foot. A truly memorable stay with excellent value.
