I stayed at Badhotel the Hague Scheveningen for a short trip, and it was a great experience overall. The rooms are on the smaller side, but perfectly adequate for a 3-star hotel—well-organized and tidy. One small downside is that the carpet in the room hasn’t been replaced yet; upgrading to hard flooring would be a nice touch. The shower comes with a curtain, which works fine. Everything was extremely clean throughout the property—no complaints there. Breakfast was a highlight: delicious, varied, and fresh. They offered multiple types of bread, spreads, fruit juice, plus freshly made eggs, fried bacon, pancakes, and more. It felt like a proper buffet without the hassle. The location is excellent too—just a quick walk or short metro ride from the city center, making it easy to explore The Hague. For a brief stay, this hotel delivers fantastic value and comfort. I’d definitely come back.

The service was excellent overall. I did have a minor issue with my room location, but the staff handled it promptly and without any hassle. What stood out was how welcoming and helpful they were—no request was too big or too small. Whether it was for extra towels or local recommendations, they were always ready to assist. Plus, the drinks at the hotel were surprisingly affordable compared to those on the Boulevard. It’s a great value for the quality and convenience. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a relaxed stay in The Hague.

Located just steps from the sea, this hotel offers a fantastic spot for exploring The Hague’s coastal charm. I loved being within walking distance of the circus theatre, the Sea Art Museum, and the lively boulevard—perfect for a relaxing stroll or an afternoon of culture. Housed in a beautifully preserved 1909 Jugendstil building, the hotel has a unique character and timeless elegance. Rooms are simple but clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff who made check-in smooth and welcoming. A nearby parking garage is a big plus for those traveling by car. One small note: I found a pair of earplugs left behind in the room, which might suggest some noise concerns—but overall, the quiet atmosphere and excellent location make up for it. Great value and a memorable stay.

The apartment is absolutely charming and well-maintained. Located just a short walk from the city center, it's incredibly convenient for exploring The Hague. The quiet neighborhood adds to the peaceful vibe, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend this gem for travelers who value comfort, cleanliness, and location.

The Velvet Lodge offers the perfect balance of relaxation and comfort—exactly what I needed after a long day exploring The Hague. The room was cozy, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the quiet atmosphere made it easy to unwind. It's also ideally located for city exploration: just a short walk or quick metro ride to all the main sights. The staff were welcoming, and the attention to detail throughout the property made me feel at home. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with great access to the city, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

I can't believe I stayed here—this place was a complete disaster from start to finish. The building looked worn out and had a strong smell of wet dog right when I walked in. To make matters worse, tiny fish were swimming around in the bathroom! The kitchen was in terrible shape: the trash bin was broken, and the dishwasher still had dirty dishes left by the previous guest. The bed was filthy—greasy stains, deep dents, and absolutely uncomfortable. Mold was clearly visible on the ceiling, which raised serious hygiene concerns. The living room had a gross, stained sofa with a dirty cover, and no proper air conditioning—just a cheap fan from Action (€9.99) that didn’t work and made more noise than cool air. There were stains on the chair, and the curtains were hanging loose. In the bathroom, the shower had a broken soap dish, no soap, and the curtain just hung from a single hook. There wasn’t even a shelf to put your things on. Honestly, this place felt unsafe and completely unhygienic. I paid upfront, but upon arrival, it was clear this was nothing like the listing. I’ve asked for a refund proportional to what I actually received—and still haven’t heard back. Don’t do what I did. For €100 per night including breakfast, you can find so many clean, safe, and well-maintained hotels in Scheveningen. This one is not worth it.
