My stay at Hôtel Sanso by HappyCulture in Paris 13th arrondissement was mixed. The room showed signs of age and wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped—there were even tiny bugs hopping around on the bed when I first walked in, which honestly made me reconsider staying. I’m pretty sure they were fleas, and it really ruined the mood. That said, the air conditioning worked well and kept the room pleasantly cool during the warm weather, though it did make a noticeable noise. Compared to some hotels without AC, this was definitely a plus. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, which added a positive touch. To be fair, I stayed at another hotel nearby for just under €200 more, but it was far cleaner, better decorated, and had a superior location. So while this place isn’t bad overall, the value-for-money aspect feels a bit weak. If you’re looking for comfort and cleanliness, you might find better options elsewhere.

Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. Every detail felt cared for. This place exceeded all expectations. So, I’d definitely recommend keeping valuables locked in the under-bed storage cabinets—security is key here. Overall, the location is unbeatable, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the value for money is excellent. A solid 9.5 out of 10, and I’d stay again without hesitation.
