I stayed in a courtyard-facing room, which was wonderfully peaceful and quiet, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The room had all the essentials: a TV, private bathroom with shower, and toilet—simple but functional. The view wasn’t breathtaking, but honestly, that’s not why you come here. You’re here to rest, recharge, and enjoy a calm atmosphere. Breakfast is pricey at €11 per person—just a slice of bread, a croissant, a glass of industrial juice, a small piece of butter, and three jars of jam for two people. It’s basic, but acceptable if you’re on the go. Parking can be reserved in advance as an add-on, which is helpful if you’re driving. What really stands out is the nearby restaurant, l'Entracte Bistrot—a gem in this neighborhood. It serves authentic French cuisine, and it’s rare to find such a quality spot so close by. If you’re into history and old Paris charm, take a stroll down Rue des Pyrénées, then turn onto Rue Stendhal. You’ll end up at the top of Saint-Germain de Charonne Cemetery—an unusual place, as it’s one of only two churches in Paris still surrounded by their original cemetery grounds (the other being Saint-Pierre de Montmartre). There, you’ll find a countryside-style church with red flat tiles, set against the backdrop of modern high-rises—this contrast between old and new is truly magical. Overall, the hotel offers great value, a welcoming vibe, and a real sense of local character. Ideal for travelers who appreciate quiet comfort and authentic Parisian neighborhoods.

I stayed in a mixed dorm, and while it’s great meeting fellow travelers from all walks of life, I noticed some guests mentioned their belongings were stolen. So, I’d definitely recommend keeping valuables locked in the under-bed storage cabinets—security is key here. Overall, the location is unbeatable, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the value for money is excellent. A solid 9.5 out of 10, and I’d stay again without hesitation.

What really stands out is the location—right next to the metro, with restaurants and supermarkets just steps away. You can walk everywhere you need without hassle. It’s an excellent mix of comfort, convenience, and cleanliness. Definitely one of the best stays I’ve had in Paris, and I’d book it again in a heartbeat.
