We chose Hotel Riviera Venezia Lido specifically for its location—perfectly situated just across from the water bus terminals, which made our arrival and departure so seamless. Coming off the train, we were right at the doorstep of the lagoon transport system, and catching the direct boat to the airport on our way out was effortless. Our terrace room offered stunning views over the lagoon, and we loved relaxing with a glass of wine each evening, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The service was consistently attentive—rooms were cleaned daily, and both front desk staff and the bar team were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and provided more than enough energy to start the day. It’s rare to find such a quiet, well-located spot with great value and excellent hospitality. Definitely a top choice for anyone wanting a calm retreat while still being well-connected.

This hotel is an absolute gem! The location is unbeatable—right next to the beach with a stunning sunrise view from my room. Every morning felt like a postcard come to life. Public bus stop right outside, and just a short walk to the vaporetto station—connecting directly to central Venice, the airport, and other islands. Even if you miss a ride, a 15-minute stroll gets you there easily. I truly can’t recommend this place enough. It’s perfect for travelers who value convenience, comfort, and beauty all in one. Will definitely be back.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Located in the heart of Venice, Hotel Corte Contarina perfectly captures the authentic Venetian charm. My only minor concern was that our room was adjacent to the breakfast area. Early morning setup noises could be heard, and the narrow doorway made it a bit tricky to exit without disturbing guests already seated. However, the breakfast spread was excellent—varied, delicious, and well-prepared. Despite that small issue, this is still an outstanding choice for travelers visiting Venice. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Ca' Del Pomo Grana'
My stay at Ca' Del Pomo Grana was a complete disappointment. I tried reaching out the day before arrival via message and phone, but received no response. Upon arriving on-site, there was no signboard and no doorbell to be found. I called the number listed again, but nobody answered. With a young child in tow, I had no choice but to scramble for an alternative solution on my own. To make matters worse, they charged me for the entire stay despite me never actually checking in. The lack of basic communication, clear signage, and professionalism made this experience extremely stressful and frustrating. I cannot recommend this property to anyone—avoid it at all costs.

Sea to Sky Apartments by Wonderful Italy
The apartment’s location is fantastic—quiet yet perfectly positioned within easy reach of all major sights and water taxi stops. There are plenty of excellent cafes and restaurants nearby, making it ideal for breakfast. I highly recommend trying the croissants at Cafe Vero—they’re unforgettable and hard to miss in this area. The unit itself is spacious and modern, especially when compared to other small apartments or hotels in Venice. Having air conditioning is a real plus if you're visiting during summer months. We stayed in Canal View 2, one of three similar units on the second floor. Everything was great except for one issue: after a rainy day, water started dripping into the bedroom. It wasn’t a major flood, but it did require using towels and covers to manage the noise and prevent further mess. Fortunately, once the rain stopped, everything was fine. Before booking, it’s worth confirming that the roof issue has been addressed. Another downside was the number of rules only shared after booking. For example, disposing of trash requires taking it to a boat stop early in the morning—no easy task if you’re just here for a few days. Also, instructions for using the dishwasher felt overly complicated, especially if you’re not cooking regularly or staying more than a week. We didn’t throw out our waste because we were confused about the process (mostly paper and plastic), so we simply let them know. If you’re looking for a terrace, ask if that unit is available—it’s definitely a bonus for those who want extra outdoor space.
