Staying at Edelmira Hotel Boutique in the heart of Guanajuato's historic city center was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a few minutes' walk to the cathedral and university, and everything you'd want to explore is within easy reach. The rooftop restaurant is a real highlight, offering great views and a charming atmosphere for dinner. The room was clean and well-maintained, and despite being on a busy street, it stayed surprisingly quiet at night. I happened to visit during Día de Muertos, and the entire city was buzzing with festive energy—the decorations, music, and local traditions added such a magical vibe. It felt like stepping into a living postcard. This boutique hotel offers a perfect blend of charm, comfort, and authenticity. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Guanajuato.

Villa Sueño Azul feels like a peaceful retreat right in the heart of Guanajuato’s bustling city life. The room is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Our host Omar was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay, offering great local tips and making us feel at home. The location is ideal—just a short walk to Jardín de San Diego, with plenty of cafes, shops, and sights nearby. It’s rare to find such a charming, well-located B&B with such genuine hospitality. I’d absolutely recommend it and will definitely return on my next visit to Guanajuato.

Staying at Hotel Abadia Tradicional was absolutely the best choice for celebrating Day of the Flowers in Guanajuato. My room was beautiful—exactly as I'd pictured, with authentic local charm and thoughtful details. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The location couldn’t be better—perfectly central, with everything within walking distance. Whether it was exploring colorful streets, grabbing a bite, or just soaking in the festive atmosphere, I was never far from anything. It felt like being part of the city’s heartbeat. I left with such warm memories and already know I’ll be back. This hotel is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience.

Staying at Hotel Casa Virreyes was an absolute highlight of my trip to Guanajuato. The location is perfect—everything I wanted to see was within walking distance, so I didn’t need to rely on taxis or public transport. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with authentic local charm, clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond—they were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any request. Their warm hospitality truly made the stay memorable. For such a great experience at this price point, it’s hard not to recommend this gem. I’ll definitely be back.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the city center, with restaurants, shops, and local markets all within easy reach. The room was spacious, incredibly comfortable, and the bed was just right—perfect for a good night's sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, everything felt seamless and welcoming. If I ever return to Guanajuato, this will be my first choice. Highly recommended for travelers who want convenience, comfort, and great value.

The hotel is comfortable and offers ample parking, just a 20-minute walk from Alhóndiga de Granaditas—great for exploring on foot. However, it's located right next to the road leading to La Valenciana, so you can hear traffic noise, including trucks and cars, especially at night. If you're sensitive to sound, consider requesting a room away from the street or bring earplugs. Despite the noise, the location is convenient, the rooms are clean, and the overall value is solid. It’s a good option if you’re looking for a reliable stay in Guanajuato with easy access to key attractions.

As a travel organizer, I booked 27 rooms at Hotel del Conde nine months in advance for an upcoming trip. To my surprise, just eight days before departure, we were suddenly notified of a cancellation. The alternative accommodation the hotel recommended was far below standard and completely unsatisfactory. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially given the long lead time and trust placed in the property. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone and won't consider booking here again.

Staying at Hotel Villa de la Plata in Guanajuato was a mixed experience. The location is convenient and the property has a nice charm, but the rooms definitely need more maintenance. The bathrooms and kitchen are in poor condition—some appliances are outdated or missing entirely, making cooking difficult. The windows don’t seal properly, and one of the hallway bathrooms had a window that wouldn’t open. Several light bulbs were burnt out, adding to the sense of neglect. While the overall vibe of the place is appealing, it’s clear that regular upkeep has been overlooked. For travelers who value comfort and attention to detail, this might be something to consider before booking. A little more care in maintenance could go a long way in improving the guest experience.

The hotel is generally great—clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. One thing to note: there's no parking available on-site, so if you're arriving by car, you'll need to plan accordingly. The center is about a 10-minute walk away, but keep in mind it’s located on a hill, so the uphill walk from downtown can be quite steep and tiring, especially with luggage. We’d recommend taking a taxi or Uber to avoid the climb. Despite that, the location offers a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, and the room was comfortable and well-appointed. Overall, a solid choice for a relaxing stay in Guanajuato.

I stayed at Hotel Hacienda de Cobos for two nights while exploring Guanajuato, and the location was definitely a highlight—just a 20 to 25-minute walk from the city center, and even closer to the Museo de las Momias up in the hills. The neighborhood vibe is authentic and quiet, which I appreciated. However, the building itself feels quite old, and that shows in the room amenities. The Wi-Fi was weak, and since the TV relies on the same connection, some channels loaded poorly or didn’t play at all. There were also noticeable plumbing issues—I couldn’t get hot water at the sink, and despite reporting it, nothing was ever fixed. Breakfast was included but very limited: only three options available, with everything else extra. The menu was entirely in Spanish, and only one staff member occasionally spoke English, so communication was frustrating. Overall, the hotel felt undermanaged, with little effort to address guest concerns. It’s clear the team isn’t proactive about improvements, which makes it hard to recommend unless you’re specifically looking for a budget stay in a historic area.

Located in a quiet little alleyway, the hotel is just a short walk from where taxis drop you off on the main street—super convenient. If you're driving, you can park at the Plaza San Javier parking lot since it's right next to the sister property. The hotel itself offers a variety of local tours, so you can book your excursions right on-site without any hassle. It’s a smart, stress-free way to explore Guanajuato, and with such great access and helpful service, it truly makes your stay more enjoyable.

Staying at this hotel was a highlight of my trip to Guanajuato. The best part? Having a private terrace with a view of the outside—perfect for relaxing in the morning sun or enjoying a quiet evening breeze. The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate, making it feel like a true retreat. It's also super convenient, just a short walk from downtown and surrounded by great local restaurants. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Clean rooms, thoughtful touches, and a lovely vibe—it’s a gem that truly delivers on comfort and charm. I’d definitely come back without hesitation.
