The onsen bath area is on the smaller side, but we appreciated that the men’s and women’s baths switch hours in the morning and evening, ensuring privacy and peace. We stayed at Zuihoen in Kobe with my 74-year-old mom and our 10-year-old daughter. While the price wasn’t cheap (over ¥100,000 for the suite), considering the location, service, and overall quality, it felt worth every yen. The surrounding scenery adds to the peaceful, serene atmosphere. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of great local eateries nearby, so it’s easy to grab a delicious meal. Overall, this resort offers an unbeatable mix of comfort, convenience, and value—perfect for anyone exploring Kobe by car. Would definitely stay here again.

This wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the booking page, so we were confused when we arrived with luggage only to find we couldn’t enter the room. Thankfully, the staff were incredibly helpful, guiding us through the process with patience and warmth. From the serene atmosphere to the thoughtful service, this place offers a genuine, peaceful retreat in Arima. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quiet, authentic Japanese onsen getaway.
