The Capetonian is an excellent choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience in Cape Town. Located just steps from the city center, it's incredibly easy to explore local attractions and dining spots. The staff are warm and attentive, making check-in and daily interactions a breeze. Room amenities are thoughtfully designed, and the breakfast spread is both delicious and diverse—especially loved the local flavors. However, upon arrival, I noticed the room wasn’t cleaned to the usual standard: white socks turned brown unexpectedly, and there were strands of hair visible around the room. There was also a faint unpleasant odor in the bathroom, likely due to plumbing issues. Despite these minor concerns, the overall experience remains outstanding. Great value, great location, and a welcoming atmosphere—definitely worth staying again.

I stayed at Urban Oasis Aparthotel from March 14th to 18th, 2025, and I can confidently recommend this place without hesitation. The staff went above and beyond—right from the airport pickup to check-out, I felt genuinely cared for. Special mention goes to Mihla Mekani at the rooftop bar; his friendly service made a lasting impression. The location is excellent, the atmosphere relaxing, and the whole experience truly memorable. Would definitely come back.

Staying at Flatrock Suites was a major disappointment. The hotel is located directly above a nightclub, and the loud music and constant laughter kept going until 6 a.m., making it nearly impossible to sleep. I booked a two-bedroom suite, but only one room had air conditioning— the other had no fan at all, which made it extremely uncomfortable in the heat. To make matters worse, the DSTV service didn’t work, and despite reaching out to the property management team, I received zero support or assistance. There were also no curtains or blinds on the main bedroom door, so sunlight flooded into the room by 5 a.m., disrupting any chance of rest. Overall, the experience was poor, with multiple basic amenities failing and no effort from staff to resolve issues. Definitely not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

That said, the unit could use a deeper clean occasionally—especially around the kitchen sink, microwave, and tile grout where some buildup is noticeable. While proper laundry detergent was provided, there was no dishwasher-safe soap included, which was a small inconvenience. Overall, the value for money is solid, especially for a central location. One minor suggestion: consider reversing the fridge door’s swing direction so it opens into the kitchen rather than toward the sleeping area. It’s an easy fix with basic tools and would significantly improve daily convenience. A thoughtful upgrade that makes a big difference.
