Just a 700-meter walk from the V&A Waterfront and the bustling docks—perfect for exploring on foot or hopping on the train. The property feels secure, with daily housekeeping service making everything feel fresh and well-maintained. There's convenient basement parking nearby, which is a big plus for those arriving by car. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious with a great large shower, and the balcony offers a lovely spot to enjoy morning coffee or evening views of the harbor. My only minor note: why paint the interior walls black? While it gives a bold modern vibe, it can feel a bit dark and closed-in. A lighter color might enhance the sense of space. Despite that, the overall experience was excellent—great value, excellent location, and top-notch service. Definitely recommend for travelers who want comfort and convenience in Cape Town’s heart.

Had an amazing stay overall! Despite some minor hiccups during the check-in process, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make things right. Their friendly attitude and quick response really turned the experience around. The location is perfect—just a short walk from major attractions and well-connected by public transit. Clean rooms, great service, and a warm atmosphere make this a top choice for anyone visiting Cape Town. Would definitely come back and recommend it to friends.
Flatrock Suites
Staying at Flatrock Suites was a major disappointment. The hotel is located directly above a nightclub, and the loud music and constant laughter kept going until 6 a.m., making it nearly impossible to sleep. I booked a two-bedroom suite, but only one room had air conditioning— the other had no fan at all, which made it extremely uncomfortable in the heat. To make matters worse, the DSTV service didn’t work, and despite reaching out to the property management team, I received zero support or assistance. There were also no curtains or blinds on the main bedroom door, so sunlight flooded into the room by 5 a.m., disrupting any chance of rest. Overall, the experience was poor, with multiple basic amenities failing and no effort from staff to resolve issues. Definitely not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

While proper laundry detergent was provided, there was no dishwasher-safe soap included, which was a small inconvenience. Overall, the value for money is solid, especially for a central location. One minor suggestion: consider reversing the fridge door’s swing direction so it opens into the kitchen rather than toward the sleeping area. It’s an easy fix with basic tools and would significantly improve daily convenience. A thoughtful upgrade that makes a big difference.
