While the building isn’t brand new, the rooms are stylishly designed and feel modern and clean. I was especially impressed by the strong shower pressure—really refreshing after a long day. It’s a fantastic space to work on your laptop or just unwind. The warm atmosphere made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring the city. Just a heads-up if you’re a heavy sleeper: the construction noise starts early, so plan to wake up and pack early if you want to hit the ground running for your day trips. Overall, the comfort, location, and genuine hospitality more than make up for the temporary inconvenience. A great choice for travelers looking for value and character.

We booked Katherine Plaza Hotel for a family trip and arrived around 5 PM. The front desk staff were very welcoming, clearly explained room details, and provided all the necessary info about meal times—great service right from the start. Walking into the room, we were immediately impressed by the clean environment; the walls looked freshly renovated, and the overall vibe felt cozy and homely—like staying at grandma’s place. One small downside: some TV channels had poor signal quality, and the programming leaned heavily toward K-dramas, sports, and movies. Also, the lighting in the room wasn’t bright enough when watching TV. The bathroom is spacious, but lacks proper wet/dry separation—adding a shower curtain would definitely improve safety and convenience. Breakfast was a highlight: generous and varied, with fresh stir-fried dishes, side pickles for congee, toast, buns, steamed bread, and more—perfect for starting the day on a full note. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just steps away from Central Park, Dali Department Store, Hanshin Mall, and within walking distance to Music & Pop Culture Hall and Zhuangzhi (Dabu) Art District. There are countless restaurants nearby, so dining options are endless. If we ever come back to Kaohsiung, this hotel will be our top choice. Thanks to the team for such a warm and thoughtful stay!

Our room was on the 6th floor with a large window—great natural light and a nice view. The bathroom had a small area with slight dust buildup in the corner, and the faucet on the sink felt a bit outdated, requiring a bit of force to lift—but it still worked fine. Hot water was consistent, and we were provided with towels and bath sheets. The vanity mirror is huge, perfect for makeup, and there's a round table with two chairs—ideal for late-night snacks or just chatting over drinks. Location-wise, it's super convenient; there are tons of local cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast voucher included (70 RMB per person), redeemable at nearby designated spots—just a 5-minute walk away. Simple and hassle-free. Overall, this place offers great comfort and convenience at a reasonable price. Definitely would stay again if I'm back in Kaohsiung.
