Don’t skip this step—going without confirmation could lead to confusion and wasted time. Overall, the service, location, and comfort made this stay outstanding. Definitely my top choice for future visits to Kunming.

Travelling solo in Kunming, I ended up staying at Friend In Need Villa Youth Hostel and was truly touched by the authentic Yunnan vibe. This hostel offers amazing value for money, with spotless cleanliness throughout the property and thoughtful service from top to bottom. The facilities are well-maintained: on the ground floor, there’s a ping-pong table and a cozy little garden perfect for relaxing or chatting with fellow travellers. The upper floors house the dorms and private rooms—spacious, quiet, and comfortable. What stood out most was the chance to meet people from all over the world, sharing stories and making unexpected friendships. It’s rare to find such a homely atmosphere in a youth hostel. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place genuinely deserves it. If I’m back in Kunming, this will be my first choice again. Highly recommend!
