I’ve been stressed about missing invitations during past fashion weeks, but here, the lobby staff handles them personally—they collect them at reception and deliver them straight to your room. They’re on duty 24/7, and even though the front desk hours are 9 AM to 6 PM, they’re always reachable. I arrived around 11 PM and my call was answered immediately. Some guests complain about small bathrooms—true, the shower area isn’t huge, but it’s functional and fits perfectly for a quick wash. I cared more about the bed quality, and it was excellent. There’s a proper desk, iron, and plenty of space in the room overall. As for noise—yes, it’s a city center, so you’ll hear some traffic and distant chatter, especially during the day. But after midnight, it gets quiet fast. Italian shops close early, and the streets settle down quickly. If you’re sensitive to sound, earplugs work like magic. We were supposed to receive the door code via email upon check-in, but it never arrived. When I tried to contact Italianway staff, I could barely hear them due to the loud noise in the office. They insisted it had been sent and that we should have it already. After about 15 minutes of back-and-forth, they finally resent it. All this happened while we were standing outside in 34°C heat, waiting with our two heavy suitcases. To make matters worse, we had to carry everything up three flights of stairs to a flat without air conditioning—something that wasn’t mentioned anywhere before booking. As someone who’s lived in Italy for over 20 years (my wife is Italian), I know what to expect when traveling here, but this was still an exhausting experience, especially for us in our mid-seventies. That said, the apartment was clean and located in a very convenient spot—our only positive takeaway.
