Among three high-end hotels in New York with similar price points and well-known reputations, the other two fell far short of their five-star billing—definitely a disappointment. But The Peninsula New York? Absolutely worth every penny. The room was spacious, beautifully designed with timeless elegance and artistic touches throughout. Modern smart amenities made everything seamless, and the service—from front desk to in-room staff—was consistently attentive, professional, and warm. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. This isn’t just a luxury stay; it’s an experience that lives up to its legendary name. If you’re visiting NYC, this is where you should stay.

Mandarin Oriental New York

Staying at the Mandarin Oriental in New York was an absolute highlight among all the properties I've visited. After staying at countless hotels in New York, this Park Hyatt stands out as one of the most satisfying experiences I've had recently. The sunlit swimming pool area is fantastic; relaxing by the water with natural light streaming in was pure bliss. The only minor drawback is the lack of a dry sauna and a faint plastic smell in the gym area, but these are small issues in an otherwise top-tier property. Location-wise, while it’s not directly adjacent to a subway station, everything you’d want—restaurants, shopping, transit—is within easy walking distance. The convenience, combined with the high level of service and thoughtful touches, makes this a truly exceptional stay. If you're looking for a refined, comfortable base in Manhattan, this hotel delivers on every front.

The Wall Street Hotel New York City

The Dominick Hotel

Every night, we enjoyed the thoughtful turn-down service, which made the stay feel extra special. There’s no door between the bathroom and bedroom, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience—especially with the included microwave, perfect for quick meals. Clean, stylish, and thoughtfully equipped, this hotel offers excellent value. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it.

My 13-year-old daughter was surprised with a thoughtful birthday gesture that truly touched us all. The staff even arranged a private town car ride around the city, adding a personal touch to our experience. The guest rooms boast breathtaking views of Central Park, making every morning a delight. The level of service, the ambiance, and the overall attention to detail were outstanding. This is more than just a hotel—it’s a true home away from home. I’ll definitely be returning.

While the restaurant menu prices were on the high side (a simple chicken salad with truffle fries and iced tea came to $90 before tip), it’s understandable given the location and upscale setting. That said, the real issue was the air conditioning malfunctioning during our visit—our room climbed to a sweltering 88°F, making it nearly impossible to sleep. We had to keep the windows open, which brought in a lot of city noise. The manager heard about our discomfort and responded with a thoughtful discount on our room rate—a gesture that really made up for the inconvenience. Despite the minor setbacks, the overall experience was outstanding. The location is unbeatable—steps away from shopping, dining, and public transit. The atmosphere, elegance, and level of service are top-tier. I’d absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in New York.
