Located in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the train station, this hotel offers a peaceful retreat without sacrificing convenience. The nearby bus stop made getting to the station easy, even with heavy luggage—no stress at all. Walking into town takes about 20 minutes, and the route itself is pleasant, with plenty of local charm along the way. Right near the station, there’s a large market where you can grab fresh food, sushi, or even some delicious Korean cup noodles—perfect for a quick bite. I’d definitely choose this spot over crowded, expensive city-center hotels next time I visit Amsterdam. The breakfast might be on the pricier side (17€), but it holds its own against what you’d get at other well-known chains. Bonus: every room comes with a small fridge—such a thoughtful touch that makes it an extra reason to come back.

I was genuinely impressed by every aspect of my stay at Hotel Pontsteiger. Staying at Hotel Amsterdam de Roode Leeuw was an absolute breeze. Located right across from the central train station, it’s just a quick free ferry ride away—no need to worry about transportation delays. The ferry terminal is tucked inside the tunnel on the right side of the station, near the ibis hotel; not the tourist boats in front of the station. Ferries run every 5 minutes or so, making it super convenient for travelers rushing to catch trains. The hotel itself is huge and instantly recognizable with its striking red façade. The ferry ride is incredibly smooth—locals even ride their bikes across without any wobble! Inside, the property feels like a vibrant hub for young travelers: well-equipped common areas, fun social spaces, and plenty of activities. Breakfast is extra, but the overall experience is fantastic. If you're looking for convenience, style, and a lively atmosphere in Amsterdam, this place delivers.

Despite being in the heart of Amsterdam, it felt quiet and serene. The staff were incredibly responsive and attentive—always ready to help with anything we needed. They even arranged high-quality bicycles for us directly at the hotel, which made exploring the city by bike super convenient. From the location to the service, everything was outstanding. A truly memorable stay—definitely planning to return.

The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and close to great cafes, restaurants, and public transit. The staff went above and beyond; they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely made me feel welcome. When we encountered a minor issue with the door lock, they addressed it promptly and without any hassle—no stress at all. The room itself was clean, stylish, and comfortable, with modern amenities that added to the overall experience. Despite the small hiccup, the excellent service turned what could’ve been a problem into a non-issue. We stayed at these apartments with mixed feelings—great location, but serious cleanliness issues. The property is perfectly situated in central Amsterdam, just steps away from major museums and right beside one of the city’s beautiful canals. While one bedroom was quite small, most rooms are spacious and comfortable overall. Unfortunately, the apartment was not properly cleaned upon arrival. We had to vacuum the entire floor ourselves because dust and grime were everywhere—even behind the sofa, which clearly hadn’t been touched in ages. We also washed all the dishes due to visible residue, and both kitchen and bathroom needed a thorough clean. To our surprise, only the bedding and towels were spotless—everything else felt neglected. The entrance stairs were dirty and smelled unpleasant, and we even had to wipe down the lower parts of the walls. What really stood out was the initial charge of around €320 for an 8-day stay—covering cleaning fees and tourist tax—something we weren’t warned about beforehand. When we asked for a detailed invoice to understand the breakdown, we never received a reply. The living room has a small sofa with a stained and torn cover, which didn’t help the impression. However, the view from the window overlooking the canal was absolutely stunning and made up for some of the negatives. Like many buildings in Amsterdam, the stairs are steep—fine for most, but challenging for those with mobility issues. Also, the back terrace door cannot be opened, but this is due to local noise regulations that apply to all similar apartments across the area, not just this one. On a positive note, the staff at Hotel Roemer—who handle check-ins and support for these apartments—were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Absolutely brilliant value for money! I stayed in a basic room, and it was perfect for my needs—clean, cozy, and well-designed with a surprisingly comfortable bed that made for a great night's sleep. The hotel is ideally located just a short walk from the city center, with tram stops and local cafes nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful, offering personalized tips on exploring Amsterdam’s hidden gems. Despite its affordable price point, the atmosphere feels modern and welcoming, with thoughtful touches throughout. I’d highly recommend Botel to anyone visiting Amsterdam who wants a stylish, budget-friendly stay without compromising on comfort or convenience. It’s clear they care about guest experience—this place truly stands out.

Staying at Ibis Amsterdam Centre Stopera was a fantastic experience overall. The cleanliness was outstanding—every corner of the room felt fresh and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep with no disruptions. Located just steps away from major attractions like the Opera House, it’s ideal for travelers who want to explore Amsterdam on foot. Public transport is super convenient, with the metro station just a short walk away. The breakfast offered a good balance of variety and quality—fresh bread, hot dishes, jam, and coffee were all satisfying and filling. It’s a great value-for-money option if you’re looking for comfort without breaking the bank. Definitely planning to come back again.

Located just a short walk from the train station, Multatuli Hotel offers a central and convenient base for exploring Amsterdam. If you're visiting during winter months like we did, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of sightseeing—exactly what we needed. The breakfast spread is wonderfully varied and delicious, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. The staff are genuinely friendly, always smiling, and eager to help—making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Every detail, from comfort to service, feels thoughtfully considered. This place truly delivers on every front. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Staying at Amsterdam House Hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and patient, going out of their way to explain check-in procedures and local tips—like which tram stop to take for the nearest canal views. The room lived up to every expectation: authentically Dutch in style, spotlessly clean, and with a lovely view overlooking the streets of Amsterdam. Natural light streamed through the windows each morning, making the space feel bright and cozy. It’s clear that attention to detail is a priority here. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam—it’s a perfect blend of charm, comfort, and convenience.
