Special shoutout to David, our shuttle driver—he went above and beyond by walking me all the way to Nelson Mandela Square and even showed me exactly how to find my way back to the pickup point. He addressed me with such respect as 'Madam'—it made the whole experience feel personal and special. Check-in was effortless, thanks to the young lady at the front desk who was warm, efficient, and incredibly helpful. The concierge was also outstanding—though I didn’t catch his name, his welcome was unforgettable, and he patiently explained how the elevators worked. Even the kitchen team left a mark—those guys who cooked my eggs were so attentive and thoughtful. Every single person I met during my stay made me feel valued and cared for. The housekeeping staff? Step outside and you're surrounded by authentic Chinese restaurants—Fisherman's Island, Shunde Restaurant, Wagan Family, Wangjiao Dining, Chongqing Hotpot, and Northeast Dumplings all within walking distance. Need groceries? The Wanfu Lai supermarket has everything from fresh produce to pantry staples, including a wide selection of teas. Everything I needed for daily life was just steps away. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with excellent value for money. Safety, convenience, and authenticity—it’s rare to find all three in one place. If you’re visiting Johannesburg and want to feel at home while experiencing real Chinese culture, this hotel is a must-try.

The location is decent and close to public transit, but the overall atmosphere and treatment of guests were far from comfortable or respectful. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. Avoid at all costs.
