Right next to Dong Lake, the view from the window is a stunning 180-degree panorama—morning ripples and golden sunsets make every moment feel like a postcard. I was pleasantly upgraded to a lake-view suite upon arrival, with spacious layout and elegant design featuring subtle Suzhou embroidery details. The Le Méridien bed was incredibly comfortable—sleeping through the night without a single wake-up call. Malin + Goetz amenities were luxurious and added that extra touch of indulgence. Breakfast offered authentic local Shanghainese flavors, while afternoon tea at the executive lounge was perfect for unwinding with a view of the lake. The HH hour was especially magical—sipping tea as the sun dipped behind the water.
