While Bourbon Street can get crowded and overwhelming, I’d recommend exploring the parallel streets—quieter, more relaxed, and just as authentic. If you're into live music, Frenchmen Street is the place to be, especially in the evening when the energy really comes alive. The food here is bold and flavorful—my favorite was the crispy fried fish served with rice and beans, spicy and satisfying. The hotel’s location is perfect: close enough to everything but far enough from the noise. Easy access by public transit, clean rooms, and a welcoming vibe made my stay unforgettable. Definitely coming back.

Never had to wait for the shared bathroom or shower down the hall. The shower itself was decent, though the sink could use a bit more water pressure. The only small improvement I’d suggest is adding an extra bathroom on the ground floor since that’s where the four-person bedroom is located—having to climb two flights of stairs for a shower was a bit inconvenient.
