The Chaya Resort and Spa offers a unique blend of Korean-style tiled architecture and traditional Thai village charm—truly one-of-a-kind. From the moment you arrive, the cleanliness of both indoor and outdoor areas stands out, and the owner as well as the staff are warm and welcoming. Breakfast was simple with just a few options, but honestly, it hit the spot for our taste buds—delicious and satisfying. The real highlight? Its proximity to the airport. After a long flight, we were able to check in straight away without any hassle or fatigue. There’s some aircraft noise during peak times, but it’s manageable and doesn’t detract from the overall experience. Nearby temples add cultural depth, and there are plenty of local eateries offering tasty, affordable bites. Overall, this place delivers comfort, convenience, and character—all at a great value.
Viang Thapae Resort
Staying at Viang Thapae Resort was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Thapae Gate and right next to the nightly night market, making it super convenient for exploring local vibes. The hotel itself is charming with beautifully decorated rooms that are spotless, including the bathrooms—everything feels fresh and well-maintained. There are two pools, each equipped with three poolside loungers, and towels are available for use—no need to bring your own. The entire property is smoke-free, but there’s a designated smoking area near the main entrance with seating, so it’s thoughtful and considerate. A Grab ride from the airport took only about 15 minutes and cost just 200 THB—great value and hassle-free. This place truly offers comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

I’d have loved to swim in the pool—it looked so clean and inviting—but it was shaded during our visit, which made it perfect for relaxing with a drink instead. Breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options, plus the open snack bar and complimentary hot and cold beverages were such a nice touch. Overall, an exceptional stay that felt both luxurious and personal. I’d highly recommend this gem to any traveler looking for charm, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

The location of Aksara Heritage is excellent—just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by great restaurants and local attractions. The rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated with authentic Thai traditional touches, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The only minor downside was the keycard, which felt a bit stiff and difficult to use at times. However, this small inconvenience didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience. The hotel offers exceptional value for money, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The condo itself is spotless, spacious, and well-designed, featuring a separate living area that makes it feel more like a home than a hotel. I especially appreciated having a washing machine in the unit—perfect for longer stays or when you're on the go. The building feels secure and quiet, with friendly staff and a clean, modern vibe throughout. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Chiang Mai. Oh, and don’t miss the beef noodle shop right in front—their soup is rich, flavorful, and absolutely worth a stop.

Staying at The Astra A719 apartment was a mixed experience. The location is convenient, just a short walk from the city center and close to public transport, which made exploring Chiang Mai easy. However, the bed was a major disappointment—only a box spring with no mattress at all. It felt extremely uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. I kept tossing and turning throughout the night, which really affected my rest. While the apartment is reasonably priced and has some nice features, this lack of proper bedding is a significant drawback. If you're sensitive to comfort, I'd recommend checking other options or asking for a room with a real mattress. Overall, it’s not a bad place, but the sleeping quality needs serious improvement.

Nearby, you'll find convenience stores like 7-Eleven and a McDonald's—perfect for late-night snacks or quick bites. The hotel features a lovely swimming pool, ideal for relaxing between sightseeing trips. Breakfast was a highlight—richly varied with both Western and Northern Thai dishes, all freshly prepared and delicious. It’s clear the team takes pride in their offerings. For its excellent service, prime location, and thoughtful amenities, this hotel offers outstanding value. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Staying at S48 Hotel in Chiang Mai was an absolute highlight of my trip! This place is perfect for independent travelers looking for convenience and charm. Located just steps away from Nimman Road and Maya Shopping Center, everything you need—great cafes, local eats, and shopping—is right outside the door. What made it extra special was the motorcycle rental service: only 300 THB per day. My partner and I grabbed one for a romantic ride through the city streets, soaking in the local vibe with the wind in our hair. The bikes were delivered straight to the hotel, which made everything so hassle-free. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and unbeatable value—this hotel truly delivers on every level. Highly recommend!
Goodnight Chiang Mai Gate
We checked out after just one night because the noise from the bar downstairs was unbearable—loud until well past 2 a.m. The mango ice cream shop below was actually a highlight, and the rooftop terrace offered nice views of the distant scenery. However, the overall condition of the hotel was disappointing. The rooms had flimsy metal wall partitions with terrible sound insulation, making it impossible to relax without blasting the air conditioning. During the day, the heat inside was unbearable, turning the room into a sauna. Safety concerns were also evident due to potential fire hazards. With such basic facilities and poor sleep quality, we couldn’t justify staying longer. Not recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful or safe overnight stay.
The One Chiang Mai Condo
My stay at The One Chiang Mai Condo was somewhat mixed. The apartment is conveniently located—just a short metro ride to the city center, which is great for exploring. However, there were a few noticeable issues that affected my comfort. First, no slippers were provided in the room, which meant I had to bring my own. The water heater was also inconsistent—switching between scalding hot and freezing cold during showers, making it frustrating to use. Most concerning was the bathroom: ants kept appearing daily, which definitely impacted the cleanliness perception and overall experience. While the location and value for money are decent, these small but important details really need attention. If management doesn’t address hygiene and maintenance soon, I’d hesitate to recommend this place or consider returning.
Bossotel Chiang Mai
Staying at Bossotel Chiang Mai was a fantastic experience overall. The room was spacious, bright, and offered a stunning view of the old train station—especially beautiful during sunset. The only minor issue was the extremely high water pressure, which made showering uncomfortable at times. However, turning it down too much meant no hot water, so we had to find a balance. Despite that small drawback, the hotel’s excellent value, clean environment, and helpful staff made it worth every penny. It's also very convenient for getting around town via local transit. I’d definitely stay here again.
