Coffee and tea selections are abundant, and the on-site restaurant boasts a Michelin star—elegant dining with exceptional quality. Every detail feels intentional and refined. Staying at The College Hotel Amsterdam was truly one of the highlights of my trip to the city. Housed in a former boys' school, the hotel has been thoughtfully transformed with a unique blend of history and modern elegance. The artful hallway murals and creatively designed room numbers give the space an authentic, artistic vibe—definitely worth taking a quiet stroll through the building just to soak it all in. Right outside the door is a tram stop that takes you to Central Station in just a few stops, and major attractions like museums and galleries are easily accessible by public transit. While it’s a bit removed from the bustling city center, that’s actually a plus—nights are peaceful, there’s no street noise or unpleasant odors, making it a serene retreat after a long day of exploring. The service here was exceptional from start to finish. Warm welcome with chocolate and refreshments upon check-in, friendly and attentive staff throughout, and seamless communication. The restaurant team was equally welcoming, and the food was delicious—my favorite meal of the entire trip. Complimentary minibar drinks were always restocked daily, and I especially loved the nightly turndown service, where they sprayed my chosen fragrance into the room—such a thoughtful touch. This stay wasn’t just comfortable; it felt personal and special. It’s honestly the most memorable part of my Amsterdam journey.
