Staying at Grand Elysee Hamburg was an absolute highlight of my trip to Hamburg. My deluxe room was stunning—modern minimalist design with just the right touch of vintage charm. The brass lamps and velvet sofa added such a luxurious feel. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in tons of natural light, and the motorized blackout curtains are a game-changer for sleep quality. The mattress was a real treat—Hypnos, used by the British royal family, made for one of the most restful nights I’ve had in years. Plus, the free mini-bar stocked with non-alcoholic drinks and local snacks was a thoughtful touch. No need to buy anything extra. Everything about this stay felt premium without being over-the-top. 10/10—definitely coming back.

Staying at Le Méridien Hamburg was a wonderful experience overall. Parking fees were on the higher side, especially considering the room rate; including parking for guests or offering a discount would have been a nice touch. I was really hoping to check out the sauna and pool, but never got around to it—still a small regret. The breakfast was fantastic—fresh salmon, delicious fish salad, and plenty of cheese, all exactly what I love. Despite not having the official 5-star rating, it easily exceeds expectations. This is one of the best stays I’ve had in Germany, and I’d happily return in a heartbeat.
