UEASY Hotel Nanjing

This was my second visit to the hotel, and I actually flew all the way from Zhengzhou just to catch a CBA game featuring the Nanjing team. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from Wutai Mountain Gymnasium, making post-game plans super convenient. After the match, I even managed to grab some autographs from players at the venue before strolling back to the hotel at a relaxed pace—perfect for winding down. I’m happy to say the hotel has been upgraded since my last stay, especially the breakfast buffet, which now offers a much wider variety and far better quality than three years ago. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—they even upgraded my room without hesitation! It’s clear they care about guest experience. If I ever come back to Nanjing for another game, this will absolutely be my first choice again. A fantastic blend of convenience, comfort, and value.

The room was surprisingly spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully laid out. I especially loved the separate wet/dry bathroom and the bathtub—perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. They even provided bath bombs, which made my soak extra special. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel truly welcomed. Everything from check-in to checkout was smooth and pleasant. The location is ideal—right in the heart of the city, close to attractions and public transport. The room was spacious and the hallway had a subtle, pleasant fragrance—such a thoughtful touch that really showed how much care the staff put into the experience. The elevator is generously sized, making it easy to move large suitcases without any hassle. Compared to chain hotels, this place feels so much more personal and welcoming. Zhenheju Homestay, Laomendong, Confucius Temple, Nanjing

The host was absolutely wonderful—when we arrived, we had booked a family room for six, but noticed the adjacent rooms had beautiful river views. We asked if there were any available rooms with a view, and without hesitation, the host happily arranged two river-view rooms for us. As international travelers, we’d pre-ordered quite a few items online before our trip, and the host kindly received and stored them securely for us throughout our stay. What stood out most was how thoughtful they were—every day, they turned on the heating before we returned, making sure we weren’t cold after exploring the city. The location is unbeatable: just a 5-minute walk to Laomendong and the ancient city wall, and super close to Confucius Temple. We stayed for six nights, and even offered to wash and hang our laundry—truly going above and beyond. This isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a home away from home with genuine care and hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Nanjing.

Century Yuan Lakeside Garden Hotel (Nanjing Xuanwu Lake Store)

I stayed here while attending a show at Taiyang Palace, and honestly had low expectations for an older property. But I was pleasantly surprised—while the building has seen some years, everything was spotlessly clean and created a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. The front desk upgraded me to a zero-pressure room at no extra cost, and even offered welcome fruit. I took the leftover fruit and yogurt with me to the high-speed train—so convenient! The breakfast was excellent, fresh, and satisfying. The location is unbeatable: just a two-minute walk to the subway, right across from Xuanwu Lake. Perfect for morning strolls or just soaking in the scenery. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive—truly made the stay special. If I’m back for another show at Taiyang Palace, this will be my first choice again. A great balance of comfort, convenience, and value.

What surprised me most was how easy parking was—both inside the courtyard and beneath the wall. Perfect for travelers driving their own car. I originally booked a deluxe king room, but the friendly front desk staff upgraded me to a spacious suite with no hesitation. The room was immaculate, clean, and very comfortable. Huge thanks to the two front desk attendants—they were professional, attentive, and always ready to help. Their recommendations for local attractions and must-try snacks were spot-on and incredibly useful.
