A friendly front-desk attendant not only helped carry my luggage upstairs but also patiently re-arranged my room to one I was truly happy with. Even better, welcome fruits and a little pack of monkey head mushroom cookies were waiting in my room—a sweet touch that made me smile. The next day, after running errands until 3 PM, I returned exhausted, only to find my phone dead and unable to check in due to a queue at the front desk. I was frustrated and drained, just wanting to collapse into my room. Then I noticed a calm, clear-eyed staff member—later learned to be the assistant manager, Xiao Li—who kindly listened to my situation.
