Staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Shanghai - Pudong was a delightful experience from start to finish. Despite the high floors, the elevators are fast and efficient, making access to the rooms hassle-free. The room itself was spotless—every surface, including the glass table, was impeccably clean. The bedding felt fresh and comfortable, and the shower pressure was strong, which made for a refreshing spa-like experience. While the interior design feels a bit dated, all facilities were well-maintained and functional. The front desk staff, Ava and Heidi, were exceptionally friendly and professional throughout check-in—smooth, efficient, and warm. They even offered the signature DoubleTree cookie and some festive chocolates, both of which were delicious and memorable. Overall, it’s a great choice for comfort, convenience, and thoughtful touches. I’d definitely return.

The pillows and blankets were incredibly comfortable, and the blackout curtains made it easy to catch some serious shut-eye. The shower pressure was strong, and the water temperature stayed consistent—perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day. I also loved the complimentary tea and cookies from the mini-fridge; the red tea was refreshing and the cookies were delicious. Upon checkout, we received a thoughtful gift set, but there was one thing that concerned me: the hand cream looked exactly like jelly and was stored right next to the snacks. I accidentally inhaled a little of it while on the taxi ride back—seriously freaked out! Thankfully, after checking online, it seemed harmless, and I felt fine by the end of the day. But if a child had eaten it by mistake, that could be dangerous. Definitely recommend switching to a tube-style hand cream instead of the jelly-like packaging for safety reasons. Despite that small issue, the overall experience was outstanding—great location, excellent service, and amazing value. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The hotel has a beautiful Chinese aesthetic throughout, and even the front desk staff wear Hanfu uniforms—my kids were absolutely thrilled, calling it "so pretty" as soon as they walked in. Breakfast is mostly Chinese-style, well-balanced, not crowded at all, and very enjoyable. One small note: since the weather turned chilly, the dining area felt a bit cold—adjusting the AC temperature promptly would make the experience even better. The shower water pressure is outstanding—by far the strongest and most comfortable I've experienced anywhere. It actually made my showers faster and more relaxing! There are four washing machines and four dryers, and we never had to wait. Even better, the room TV shows real-time progress on laundry and drying cycles—such a smart and convenient feature. Location-wise, it’s super convenient with Line 4 just a short walk away, making commuting around Lujiazui easy. Ordering food delivery was also hassle-free—the robot delivered right to our door, which was such a fun and modern touch. Definitely considering this hotel again on my next visit to Shanghai!
