Staying at Hidden Garden International Youth Hostel in Shanghai's Lujiazui area was an absolute delight. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the Bund and major metro lines, making exploring the city effortless. I stayed for quite a while, and the hostel’s atmosphere was clean, welcoming, and full of charm. What really stood out was the exceptional service from staff members Xiao Li and Xiao Liu—they were always friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond. Every morning I’d stop by the front desk for a warm milk, and they often surprised me with a free latte or even helped prepare hot milk with meal replacement powder. It felt like being treated like family. With such great value, comfort, and hospitality, this place offers an unbeatable experience. Shijia Homestay (Lujiazui Shanghai Branch)

We stayed here as a family of four in a spacious apartment over 1,000 sq ft with three bedrooms—perfect for our needs. The heating was excellent, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable, so both grandparents and kids slept like babies. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to Lujiazui Central Mall, and from there, you can stroll all the way to the iconic financial district trio. The view from the master bedroom at night is absolutely breathtaking, offering a full panorama of Shanghai’s glittering skyline. When one of our kids’ toys needed a screwdriver, the host sent someone over right away—such a thoughtful touch. Everything about this stay was top-notch, from comfort to service. With such great value and convenience, we’ll definitely book again on our next trip to Shanghai.

JOYA Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui

I chose Joya Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui for my New Year’s celebration this year, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise—my first stay here, and I’m already planning to come back. Traveling with my 15-month-old baby, I was so impressed by how thoughtful the staff were: they set up the baby safety barrier in advance upon our request, and it was already in place when we arrived—truly appreciated. The island counter design is absolutely perfect for parents—it made feeding, preparing bottles, and cutting fruit so much easier. Plus, you can keep an eye on your little one while brushing your teeth or getting ready, which brings great peace of mind. The river view room was the highlight—overlooking the Huangpu River, my baby would sit by the window every morning sipping milk, mesmerized by the scenery. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, though the toilet seat is slightly higher than average—probably due to a heated cover installed later, but not a big issue. Staff were friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was outstanding—huge variety, no repeats over three days! The beef noodle soup stood out: rich broth, tender meat, and generous portions—highly recommend. If you’re traveling with kids, this hotel delivers comfort, convenience, and quality. Definitely coming back for another family stay.
