We were thoroughly impressed with our stay! The rooms are spacious and perfect for four guests, impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The indoor pool is a real highlight—well-maintained and relaxing, definitely a standout feature. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right next to Tierpark Hagenbeck U-Bahn station, making travel around Hamburg super convenient. Plus, free outdoor parking on-site means no need to pay for underground garage spots—huge plus for drivers. One hiccup: during check-in, we discovered that only one of our two booked rooms was available. It turned out there was a system glitch between the booking platform and the hotel’s reservation system. We were understandably concerned, but the hotel went above and beyond by securing us another room even though the property was fully booked. Their quick response and willingness to help made a big difference. Overall, this place offers exceptional value, comfort, and service—definitely a top choice for future visits.

We celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary in Hamburg and stayed at Aussen Alster Hotel—what a perfect choice! The location is fantastic: just a 15-minute walk to the Outer Alster Lake, with easy access to boats, docks, and great restaurants. From the main train station, it’s a short walk or just a quick ride on Bus Line 6. Though I’m originally from Hamburg, having lived in Münster since 1965, I still appreciate how well this hotel stands out. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a really cozy bed—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast was served as a buffet, offering a good variety and fresh quality. What truly made the stay special was the quiet garden at the back of the hotel, right outside our window. We enjoyed sipping coffee and having breakfast outdoors—such a peaceful and romantic touch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. To mark our milestone anniversary, the hotel even treated us to a glass of sparkling wine—a lovely gesture that brought a smile to our faces. There’s also a tapas restaurant nearby, which works closely with the hotel—great for dinner. This experience has reminded me why I keep coming back to Hamburg. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting—whether for a romantic getaway, family trip, or solo adventure. It’s truly a gem.

Just a short walk away, there’s a fantastic seafood restaurant that served fresh, delicious meals. After dinner, it was just a quick stroll back to the room—perfect for a relaxing evening. The hotel itself has a modern, minimalist design with clean lines and excellent attention to detail. The room was spacious, quiet, and incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. Location-wise, it’s ideal for exploring Hamburg—easy access to public transit and all major attractions. Great value for money, and I’d definitely come back.

This hotel is an absolute gem! Right across from a lovely park, it's perfect for a morning stroll before heading into the city. The location is fantastic—super convenient for getting around Hamburg via public transit, and everything you'd want is within easy reach. The breakfast buffet was outstanding: fresh, diverse, and delicious—especially the German sausages and homemade jams. The coffee was excellent too, no need to grab a cup elsewhere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist with our itinerary. Yes, the weather was consistently overcast—classic Germany—but honestly, that didn’t dampen our spirits at all. Overall, this stay exceeded expectations. Great value, great comfort, and a wonderful experience. I’d definitely come back without hesitation.
Leonardo Hamburg Airport Hotel
Located just minutes from the airport, this hotel is a perfect choice for travelers needing convenience and a quiet stay. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, with friendly staff making us feel at home right away. Parking in the underground garage was hassle-free, and the elevator made it easy to reach our room on the upper floors. Upon entering, we noticed the room was quite warm—apparently the heating was turned up full blast, which isn’t very eco-friendly. We quickly turned it off and opened the windows for fresh air. Despite being near the airport, the room remained incredibly quiet—even with the windows open! After about half an hour, the front desk called to check if everything was alright, which showed genuine care and attention. The mattresses were a bit soft for our taste, but since it was just one night, it wasn’t an issue. Overall, we chose Leonardo Hamburg Airport Hotel because of its proximity to the airport and the convenience of leaving our car there during our trip. Highly recommend for short stays or layovers.

The shower had excellent water pressure, both hot and cold, which made unwinding after a long day of sightseeing truly refreshing. The only minor issue was some noise from the street-facing room, and there was a brief problem with the air conditioning causing a small leak—however, the staff responded quickly and professionally, resolving it right away with genuine care and kindness. The on-site bar offers good drinks and beer, though I didn’t try breakfast, which seemed promising based on reviews. Overall, this is a well-run, budget-friendly hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. The front desk team were friendly and helpful throughout. I’d definitely recommend it and will consider staying here again on my next visit to Hamburg.
Hotel Zum Zeppelin Hamburg
We've stayed at this hotel for the third time now, and it just keeps getting better. The value for money is outstanding—clean rooms, most recently renovated with a modern touch, and everything feels fresh and well-maintained. Breakfast is generous and delicious, and the restaurant food is consistently excellent. But what truly stands out is the staff—especially Frau Fischer, whose warm and welcoming attitude makes you feel like you're visiting friends rather than staying in a hotel. Just a short walk from the bus stop, you can easily reach Niendorfer Markt, and from there, take the U2 line all the way to Jungfernstieg. Everything is so accessible, making it perfect for exploring Hamburg. With such great comfort, convenience, and hospitality, we’ll definitely be back.

Staying at Ibis Hamburg St Pauli Messe was a great experience overall. The hotel is surprisingly quiet, making it perfect for a restful night's sleep—no noise from the busy surroundings. One of the highlights was the bike rental service, which made exploring the city around St. Pauli and the exhibition center super convenient. The room was clean, well-organized, and just the right size for a comfortable stay. While there’s no slippers provided (which I noticed upon arrival), that didn’t detract much from the overall value. With its central location, good amenities, and excellent price-to-quality ratio, I’d definitely recommend this hotel for travelers visiting Hamburg.

The location is perfect—facing the outer Alster Lake, with the Long Row (Lange Reihe) just behind the hotel, offering a great mix of restaurants, shops, ice cream parlors, delicatessens, and a bus stop heading toward the train station and Barmbek. I stayed in the annex building facing the side street for the second time, which made it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The room isn’t brand new, but everything worked perfectly—including Wi-Fi, though it requires reconnecting each time. Most importantly, I slept really well, which is my top priority when traveling. Combined with the unbeatable location and great value for the price, this place is definitely worth returning to.
MEININGER Hotel Hamburg City Center
This hotel is absolutely top-notch with a friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. I especially appreciate that part of the breakfast service is handled by team members with special needs—adds a heartwarming touch to the experience. The only minor downside was when the housekeeping staff entered our room twice without prior notice, even though we hadn’t requested cleaning. It felt a bit intrusive, but overall, it’s a very positive stay. Great location near the city center, super convenient for public transit, and the value for money is outstanding. Would definitely recommend and book again.

I arrived to find my booking wasn't ready despite having made it about four days prior and receiving confirmation through the platform. Thankfully, the friendly front desk staff resolved the issue quickly. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the specific room or floor I requested. The hotel’s name is well reflected in the beautiful chandeliers throughout the lobby—very elegant! The bathroom could use some updating though. Overall, everything else was smooth and satisfactory. Great location near the train station, easy access to public transit, and a solid stay for the price.

The hotel offers excellent value for money. While it’s not brand new, the cleanliness is impressive and all fixtures in the room are in perfect working order—no issues at all. Breakfast was modest but sufficient, with everything I’d expect; honestly, I was pleasantly surprised since I didn’t anticipate much. The only minor drawback was staying on the ground floor—there was a persistent low-frequency hum that confused me at first. I thought it might be loud music or bass from a passing car, but eventually realized it was the subway running directly beneath the building. It’s noticeable, especially at night, but not disruptive enough to ruin the stay. Overall, the location is convenient, the staff are friendly, and the room is comfortable. A great choice if you’re looking for a no-frills yet reliable option in Hamburg.
