MEANDER 1948
This was my first stay at MEANDER 1948, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The location is perfect—just a quick walk from Taipei Main Station, making it super convenient for travelers. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I accidentally stained the mattress, and when I mentioned it, they immediately offered to change the bedding. I only stepped out to freshen up, and by the time I returned, the new sheets were already on, and the blanket was neatly folded. I opened the curtain and just stared in disbelief—this level of efficiency is unreal. The breakfast roll was a nice touch too. I was a little nervous staying in an eight-person room at first, worried about privacy and cleanliness, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything felt clean, organized, and respectful of personal space. As someone who’s a perfectionist (and yes, a Virgo), this place truly exceeded my standards. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Taipei. If you’re still on the fence, don’t overthink it—just book it. You won’t regret it.

Perfect for solo travelers! The hotel feels secure and well-organized, with separate floors for men and women—great for privacy. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, making the stay feel comfortable and relaxing. I really appreciated having access to a washer and dryer, which made packing light much easier. There’s also a water dispenser on every floor, so staying hydrated is effortless. With plenty of restrooms available and clean facilities throughout, it’s clear the management pays attention to detail. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I visit Taipei.

Staying at Old Door Hostel & Bar was an absolute highlight of my trip to Taipei! The location is unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk from the airport express station, making travel to and from the airport super convenient. My bunk was spacious enough for my luggage, and the bathroom was surprisingly large with plenty of room to store personal items. I appreciated the safety locker, and the included breakfast was a nice touch—warm, fresh, and satisfying. The staff went above and beyond: they greeted me with a welcoming cup of tea, gave a detailed walkthrough of the hostel, and personally showed me to my bed and bathroom. Their kindness and attention to detail made the whole experience feel personal and comfortable. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next visit to Taipei!
NK Hostel
This is hands down the most welcoming hostel I've stayed at in the past year—after visiting over ten different accommodations, the staff here truly stood out with their genuine warmth and friendly attitude. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and the Americano coffee was a highlight—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. The rooms are spacious, and the common areas feel open and airy, making it easy to relax or hang out with other travelers. The bathrooms are clean, large, and well-maintained—something you don’t always get in city hostels. Location-wise, it’s super convenient for exploring Taipei, with easy access to MRT stations and nearby attractions. Great vibe, great value, and honestly, I’m already planning my return visit.

Located in a fantastic spot just steps away from Taipei Station and Zhongshan Station, this hostel offers incredible convenience for travelers. My friend and I stayed in a private room with an en-suite bathroom—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Our room required climbing three flights of stairs, which was a bit challenging with heavy luggage. If you’re traveling with bulky bags or have mobility concerns, it’s worth checking the floor level before booking. The hairdryer in the room was weak, so bringing your own is a good idea. What really stood out was the breakfast discount voucher provided—breakfast here is absolutely delicious, fresh, and satisfying. We highly recommend trying it. Overall, the experience was excellent, with great value and a warm, welcoming vibe. I’d definitely come back, possibly opting for a single room next time for a more peaceful stay.

Stayed at Dongmen 3 Capsule Inn on October 14th and was thoroughly impressed. The entire space was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything I needed. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the single capsule bed was surprisingly spacious—definitely more than enough room for a good night's sleep. The front desk staff, a young woman with a warm smile, went above and beyond to explain all the amenities and made me feel welcome right away. Her friendly attitude truly enhanced the experience. Located just minutes from the metro station, it’s super convenient for exploring Taipei’s main attractions. Highly recommend this hidden gem for travelers seeking comfort, cleanliness, and great value in a vibrant city setting.
Fun Inn Taipei
Staying at Fun Inn Taipei was a great experience overall. The hostel is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from Chenghuang Temple and the bustling Chengzhong Market, with easy access to the MRT station nearby. The place is clean and has a vibrant atmosphere that makes it feel welcoming. I stayed in a bunk bed room with two beds, and the layout made climbing up and down easy. However, there’s no private bathroom in the room—only one shared bathroom for all guests—and this meant morning routines could get a bit crowded as everyone queued to use it after someone else finished showering. It’s a small downside, but not deal-breaking. What really stood out was the staff—they were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. I’d definitely come back again!

This has to be the most thoughtful hostel I've ever stayed at. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how well-prepared they were for every need—free tea bags, coffee, toothpicks, cotton swabs, moisturizer, hair ties… even things I didn’t think to bring myself. The bathroom area is fantastic with five private rooms, and there’s a non-slip mat just outside each door—such a smart touch for safety and comfort. Kitchen essentials, hair dryers, washing machines, and a fridge are all available, plus everything you might not even realize you’d need. They require guests to change into indoor slippers upon entry, which really shows their commitment to cleanliness. The 6-person dorm is surprisingly spacious, and they’ve thought of everything—even including towel racks! Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just a 2-minute walk to Dihua Street, 5 minutes to Beimen Station, and less than 10 minutes on foot to Ningxia Night Market. Perfect for exploring Taipei’s vibrant streets and food scene. Everything about this place—from service to facilities to convenience—deserves a perfect score. If you’re visiting Taipei, this hostel is an absolute must-book.

This place is an absolute steal for the price. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the metro and surrounded by great restaurants and local vibes. I’ve been staying in a private room here for two months now, and honestly, it’s been an amazing experience. The room comes with everything I could possibly need: air conditioning, TV, microwave, kettle, sink, shower, two closets, and even a refrigerator. The AC is powerful, but I rarely use it—I just keep the balcony door open and let the fan do the work. The host is incredibly kind and always cheerful. She’s gone above and beyond to help with recommendations and local tips, making my stay feel like home. At just 15,000 per month, this is one of the best deals I’ve ever had. If I return to Taipei, I’ll be booking here without hesitation. My friends are already jealous—I’m handing the room over to one of them in September, and trust me, they’re going to love it too.
