The room was cozy and well-designed, with excellent soundproofing so we could sleep peacefully. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—from check-in, they kindly advised us that Nanjing’s attractions are all within easy reach via public transit or taxi, making car rentals unnecessary. Breakfast was a highlight: a wide variety of delicious, fresh options, including their homemade salted duck, which was so good we even bought two to take home. Bonus points for the hotel’s unique atmosphere—being part of a provincial geological bureau, the lobby features beautiful mineral specimens and artisan crafts on display (and available for purchase!). Plus, right next door is the Geological Museum, perfect for kids and adults alike who love science and nature.
