The room was clean and well-maintained, with a spacious bathroom that added to the comfort. We stayed in room 38, which had a faint odor, but it wasn’t unpleasant or overwhelming. One small note: no tea or coffee supplies were provided in the room, but you can easily request a kettle from the front desk. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money and a truly convenient stay in Zurich.
City Stay - Kieselgasse
We stayed at two different locations during our trip—one at the beginning and one at the end—and honestly, this was such a great discovery! Both apartments were just steps away from a tram stop, making it super easy to get into the old town. There were plenty of shops nearby, so we could grab snacks, groceries, and essentials without having to go far. These are actually apartment-style units, which we really appreciated—having the option to cook our own meals saved us time and money. The place was spotless, and if we needed anything like extra pillows, all we had to do was ask and it was taken care of right away. For those who still smoke, there were private balconies with fantastic views—perfect for a quiet moment with a cigarette. And as a real bonus, the building has in-house laundry facilities! That made packing light much easier. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this stay more highly. If we ever return to Zurich, this is definitely where we’ll book again.
