I've stayed at many hotels in Chengdu priced around $500 with breakfast included, but ultimately chose this one because of the spacious rooms and the convenience of having no stairs right outside the entrance—perfect for travelers with luggage or strollers. The hotel is brand new, spotlessly clean, and every staff member I interacted with—from front desk to dining service—was friendly and attentive. There's also a well-equipped laundry room, which is a big plus. The only downside is that it’s about a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro station, and the Wenshu Temple Station has only a platform lift, not a full elevator, so those with heavy bags should plan accordingly. If I had to suggest a few improvements: adding a small ramp at the breakfast entrance would make access easier for wheelchairs and strollers; offering a fried egg option on the breakfast menu would be a nice touch; and placing clearer signage near the entrance to guide delivery riders to drop off orders at the fourth-floor courier rack would prevent confusion. Despite these minor points, the overall experience was excellent—great value, modern facilities, and top-notch service. I’d definitely stay here again.

First time in Chengdu and I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay — right next to Taikoo Li, with the iconic 3D LED screen just across the street, always buzzing with people filming content. Taikoo Li itself is a high-end boutique shopping street, home to a 1,400-year-old temple, Da Cisi, adding a unique cultural vibe. The hotel is super convenient — just steps from Metro Lines 2 and 3, or you can walk straight through the underground passage beside the hotel to reach the mall. Personally, that route felt smoother and faster. The building has floor access control, but since it’s a mixed-use residential-commercial space, there are often people waiting for the elevator, so if you’re in a rush, plan ahead. That said, everything runs smoothly overall. Before check-in, the manager reached out via WeChat to send over key info and offer instant support — super helpful for any issues like unfamiliar devices. Room amenities were excellent: plenty of outlets, fast Wi-Fi, reliable Daikin HVAC system, washer with detergent included, plus a coffee maker and tea bags (the tea was surprisingly good!). Daily mineral water refills made life easy. The projector TV worked well — just use the remote to adjust focus if needed. One small downside: TV channels weren’t as varied as expected. Staying at Borrman Hotel was an absolute delight. Located just a short walk from Tianfu Square Metro Station, getting around Chengdu is incredibly convenient—direct subway access to Chunxi Road, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, and People's Park makes exploring the city effortless. The hotel sits on the 11th floor of Moore Department Store, offering great visibility and easy access. Whether you're heading to the Panda Base, Dujiangyan, or Qingcheng Mountain, everything is well-connected via public transit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. For the location, service, and value, this place earns every bit of its perfect score.

Chengdu Jincheng Yuanshe Hotel (Jinli Wuhou Temple Branch)

I came for a concert by Wang Xuxin and even reached the hotel directly via subway from the airport, with the station just a short walk away. The hotel itself feels upscale yet affordable, offering great value without compromising on quality. The room temperature was perfectly comfortable, and the staff, especially the kind-hearted lady at reception, made me feel right at home. I was also thrilled to find a little shop on the first floor selling adorable panda plushies—I couldn’t resist buying two! Payment via credit card felt secure and hassle-free. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Chengdu.
