Staying at Dalian Shangyuan Hotel was an absolute delight. Located right in the heart of Zhongshan Square, it’s surrounded by vibrant city life—everything you need is just steps away. Getting around couldn’t be easier: public transit lines are literally right outside, and taxis are always quick to arrive. The staff truly went above and beyond. From the moment we checked in, the front desk team welcomed us with warm smiles and even brought a complimentary herbal tea and snacks straight to our room. When checking out, they handed us bottled water with a sweet note reminding us to stay hydrated—so thoughtful! The room itself was spotless and well-equipped. Two elevators mean no waiting, and each room has its own fast, reliable Wi-Fi—perfect for gaming without lag. Bathroom amenities were thoughtfully provided, including a cute kid-sized toothbrush, and the room came with a lovely set of teaware and fragrant tea leaves that I really enjoyed. Noise insulation was excellent—total peace and quiet at night, which made for a restful sleep. Cleanliness stood out too: the lobby looked bright and elegant, bed linens and towels were crisp and fresh, and housekeeping staff were seen using vacuum cleaners on the carpet—no dust or dirt in sight. Even the drinking glasses, rinsing cups, and kettle had that clean, sanitized smell—very reassuring. The toilet was immaculate and included a disposable seat cover, showing real attention to detail. The overall atmosphere was fresh and inviting, with a subtle pleasant fragrance throughout the hallways and lobby—just right for a relaxing stay. Plus, the hotel is super close to Donggang, making dining and exploring easy. Fresh seafood in Dalian is legendary, and the breakfast spread was impressive—huge variety and delicious. I especially loved the snow crab served on the third floor—it was rich, juicy, and absolutely worth every bite. But what really made this stay unforgettable was the service. Every single staff member—from security to housekeeping to restaurant attendants—was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Our personal concierge even gave us local tips on hidden gems, great restaurants, and must-visit spots. After staying at many higher-end hotels, I can honestly say this one delivered the most heartfelt hospitality. It’s not just about comfort or convenience—it’s about feeling cared for.
