We didn’t stay at the hotel but visited the restaurant twice, and it was an absolute delight. The electrical switchboard is outdated and unreliable—some switches don’t work properly, and it takes too long to find the right one. The worst part? There’s no TV signal at all. I couldn’t get any channel or even a basic picture, which really affected my stay. While the price is reasonable for the area, basic facilities like working lights and a functioning TV should be a must. It’s hard to recommend this place if these issues aren’t addressed. Hope the management can improve the infrastructure soon.

The guest house is incredibly easy to find—it’s just steps away from where the nightly Ganga Aarti takes place. But even better, it has a secondary entrance directly from the ghat via a steep staircase, so you’re never lost. From the rooftop terrace, the view of the Ganges is absolutely stunning. I enjoyed breakfast each morning protected by a metal grate that kept the cheeky monkeys at bay—breakfast could be brought to my room or served right on the terrace, depending on my mood. The room was simple but comfortable, perfect for the standards of Varanasi. It’s a fantastic value stay, quietly located yet central to all the magic of the city.

They’re happy to provide an extra blanket and towel upon request. The rooftop on the upper floor is a real gem: great for sipping a drink, ordering delicious meals, or enjoying live music—on our first night, there was a spontaneous concert that added magic to our arrival. Even better, we took daily lessons in flute and tabla, which was such a unique and enriching experience. From location to hospitality and cultural immersion, everything was top-notch.
