The hotel itself isn’t huge, so you can easily explore it without feeling overwhelmed. Our room was spacious and well-proportioned, with two single beds and a sofa that converted into an extra bed—perfect for three of us, and we all slept comfortably. We upgraded in-house for a small fee to a higher-floor lake-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. Waking up to the calm, glass-like surface of Jinji Lake instantly lifted our mood. First, since it’s an older building, the rooms get quite cold at night despite having both heaters and air conditioning—we actually woke up around 6 AM because of the chill. Second, breakfast isn’t included, and we paid 49 yuan for two breakfast sets. Our host walked us to a nearby restaurant, Xinzhenyuan, where we ordered a mix of rice noodles, shrimp dumplings, and steamed buns—half with shrimp, half with pork. Unfortunately, after eating, we both suffered from stomach issues and ended up feeling unwell. We strongly advise against ordering breakfast here—food quality and hygiene seem questionable. It would be great if the hotel could investigate this issue with their partner vendors. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and location are exceptional, but improving room temperature control and food safety would make this stay even better.
