Staying at SHG Bogotá 100 Design Hotel was a fantastic experience. The location is excellent—situated in a safe, upscale neighborhood with easy access to Parque 93, just a short walk away. In Bogotá, higher street numbers generally mean better safety and cleaner surroundings, and this area definitely lives up to that reputation. While the hotel entrance isn’t ideal for hailing taxis—there’s about a 100-meter walk needed to find a convenient pickup spot due to ongoing metro construction nearby—the trade-off is well worth it. The peaceful atmosphere, modern design, and secure environment make this a standout choice. Even with minor transportation quirks, the overall vibe, comfort, and convenience more than compensate. A truly great stay in a prime part of the city.

Gio Suites Monir Usaquén Bogotá
Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. On our first full day, the pipe beneath the bathroom sink burst, flooding both the bathroom and the bedroom. We had to move all our belongings into another room after unpacking completely—luckily one was available, but it was still a major hassle. The worst part? The Wi-Fi didn’t work for any of our four nights. We reported it on day one, yet it remained broken for the entire duration. As someone who needed to work remotely, I was completely unable to do my job for four straight days—this is unacceptable. I requested a partial refund due to the lack of promised service, but was denied despite clear false advertising. To add insult to injury, the hotel offered an airport transfer service that cost twice as much as standard local rides for the same route—classic tourist trap behavior common at Latin American airports. And let’s not forget: the room was listed as a twin, but the second bed was actually a narrow portable frame that barely fit a person. It wasn’t even shown in the photos. Don’t expect two people to sleep comfortably here. Overall, the management showed zero effort to make things right or apologize. The only bright spot was the front desk attendant—she was genuinely kind and tried her best to improve our experience. But even her kindness couldn’t salvage what was otherwise a terrible stay.
